Wow we're so excited today as the 2024/25 Poole Business Awards have just opened for entries🏆🤞😁 and we've some new categories this year and even more chances to win with gold & silver awards in each of the 13 (we're not superstitious!) categories..
Talking of which our friends Poole BID suggested a new one - the High Street Impact Award - The award is designed to recognise any business, team or individual that can demonstrate a
significant impact in making Poole a more vibrant, welcoming or sustainable town. Our judges will recognise and reward initiatives that create high street jobs, attract local residents and visitors, revitalise the town centre, or raise the profile. Measures to make the town centre/High St more green, clean and mixed use spaces will also be recognised by the judges so if you know any business - maybe your own - or an individual or organisation please put them forward. It cant be Poole BID though as they are kindly sponsoring the category! Just go to the website to enter and for all the details.

We have had charities like Lewis-Manning Hospice Care, Poole Waste Not Want Not, Dorset Mind and local foodbanks winning at our awards which obviously helps them but with the recent publicity about charities struggling to meet demand and cover costs we wondered what we could do to help even more.
We decided, particularly with Christmas coming up, it was a ‘Time for Giving’ so we had a meeting and one of the team suggested we give a different local charity a category sponsorship at all our future awards to promote themselves. This will allow them to come along to the awards ceremony and talk about their work to all the attendees, meet local businesses that will hopefully form a relationship whether its financial, fund raising, or some other form of support.

We want to work together to get the charity’s work highlighted in the local community and we are so pleased to be supporting Lewis-Manning Hospice Care in Poole More here on their work https://lewis-manning.org.uk/

Busy few weeks coming up with Christchurch Awards next Thursday (2oth) and Poole Business Awards the following Tuesday - we now have even more winners with a gold and two silver in every category. Great to see just how many really fantastic businesses we have in Dorset. A constant surprise is that we get entries from businesses we have never heard of. In one of these awards there was an entry from a local business with just 10 employees that has built a turnover in excess of £12 million in the last 10 years. Very impressive.
