Let’s talk about a small change for the Bad Decisions 2025 event!

TPK Bad Decisions is a 4 person team event. This event is like TPK meets Amazing Race. Once the event starts you go non-stop until your team has completed all the challenges. This is one of the most fun TPK events we put on!
There are three types of challenges. Expect all challenges to be based on one of these themes.
1. Just Get It Done: These are simple, you just complete what is required.
2. Pick One And Hope It Sucks Less:
You’ll receive two different versions for these challenges. Hopefully you pick the one that “sucks less”. Once completed pay attention for the “U-Turns”. This is where you can have any team behind yours be required to do both versions.
3. Make It Suck Less But First:
Before you start the challenge you will have the option to open envelope with a mystery task. If you complete the task, the challenge becomes a little less sucky. You can also “make it suck less” if you have a “fast pass” in your possession.
Expect a team pre-race challenge and the possibility of needing to learn a new skill(s) before the event. If you need assistance in assembling a team let us help you!

We wanted to offer two very different options that will appeal to different people’s idea of Fun.
Disparate Fun will have two options.
5K
Race, run or hike the 5K+ loop.
50K Pay Your Dues
This is where things get interesting. This is not a TPK original idea but we loved it some much we had to offer our own.
Much like a backyard ultra or last man standing style event, runners must run a 5K+ loop on the hour. They will need to finish within an hour and be ready to go on the next hour to do it all over again. This will be done 5 times, so hour 0(zero), 1, 2, 3 and hour 4 totaling ~16 miles. All that is like a buy-in aka paying your dues for the actual race. On hour 5 every one that has finished paying their dues will start the ~14.5 mile loop. Placement is determined by finishing order on the final loop.
🟡 Course Details
Disparate Fun’s headquarters will be based in the Snow Bowl parking lot, next door to Jefferson High School. The 5K loop will start by sending you out to the fire tower on the old ski hill. This course has a steep climb within the first half mile before flattening out for a bit. Once you start making your way down the final decent will finish the course by running the last mile on the cross country course contained in the Snow Bowl lot. As for the final ~14.5 mile loop for those doing the 50K Pay Your Dues option.... well we are keeping that portion a secret for now. Just know that there is roughly 1900ft of elevation and will only share 0 miles of trail with the 5K option.
🟡Awards
We will have custom awards for all finishers. We will also have podium awards for top 3 male and top 3 female in the 5K and 50k distances.
