Hello Fellow Gamers,
Four days to go, we have a couple of smaller tables should anyone like to bring their own game. You may want to bring your own mask given government covid warnings, although as mentioned previously we will leave a few doors & windows open, and have plenty of hand sanitiser available, to make people feel safer. Games booked so far include Wings of Glory (Participation), Victorian Military Society, Assault on Beersheba (Participation), Border Warlords (Demo), One in Six Gamers A Very English Civil War (Demo),Battleground Gaming (Participation) Guards x 2 Franco Prussian and War of the Roses (Demo), Pete & Paul running Gunfight at the OK Corral (Participation). Everyone is welcome, we could all do with a bit of fun. Tea/Coffee at £1 and whatever treats I can stock up will be available on the day, there is some parking at the venue, spaces between the church and the church hall, and the school car park accessed to the left of the church entrance (it will be marked). For those coming by car the venue is about 4 miles from the M42 Junction 6 (NEC), Along the A45 Coventry Rd towards Birmingham, right at the Wheatsheaf (Large bank of traffic lights) Sheaf Lane, then second road on the left. Local buses are available No’s, 60, 72 and 73. The Wheatsheaf is also well served with eateries and shops, or if your partner wants to get on with the Christmas shopping Solihull is not that far away (Please watch out for speed cameras from/to the M42 and to Solihull, I don’t want to spoil your day) Come along, chat have a tea/coffee, peruse the bring and buy, or use it to sell your own items (forms available from the wargamershow website –please avoid the pop-ups) no sale no fee. I want to make this accessible to as many people as possible so there is no admission charge, if you want to contribute £1 towards the day it would be voluntary, next year I would like to regularly stage meeting like these around the midlands, so if you know of a similar sized or larger venue, reasonably priced, with good parking and connections, please contact me with suggestions. Hope some of you get a chance to pop by. 8.30am until 1pm, St Thomas More Church Hall, 130 Horse Shoes Lane, Sheldon, Birmingham, B26 3HU. All the best Paul
