Make it. Wear it. Dance in it. šŸŽ¶šŸ‘•

On Wednesday, June 12 from 5–7 PM, I’ll be (27 Garfield St, Newington, CT) for Ladies’ Night, pressing custom shirts on the spot!

Here’s how it works:

āœ”ļø Choose from 4 original designs

āœ”ļø Pick from 5 colors — black, white, gold, silver, or pink

āœ”ļø Bring Your Own Shirt (so you know it fits + feels good!)

āœ”ļø Preorder for $10 (guarantees your design + color)

āœ”ļø Or pay $12 at the event (limited to black + white designs)

āœ”ļø Want a tote? I’ll have a few canvas bags available for purchase + customization!

✨ Gold, silver, and pink are preorder only — they’re too pretty (and pricey šŸ˜…) to waste, so snag yours by June 10 to lock it in!

And the best part? You’ll leave with your shirt ready for Newington Goes Country at Mill Pond Park that night 🤠

DM to preorder, or with any questions.

I’ve been quiet on here lately, and it’s not because I fell off my game — it’s because I feel like the game is currently playing me.

Some days I’m a mom, a teacher, a designer, a small biz owner, a crafter, a caregiver, a friend… a human just trying to live in the moment (as long as the moment was scheduled on my calendar three weeks in advance). šŸ˜µā€šŸ’«

With all those hats in the air, I’ve been thinking a lot about the tug-of-war between flow and discipline. Between following your creative energy… and doing the thing that’s actually on your to-do list. Honestly, some days it’s a battle royale in my head to decide which wins.

But at least for today, I’m showing up with this pattern I made last week. I took a moment to make art when I ā€œshouldā€ have been creating content. Just writing that sentence makes me realize how tired I am of putting content before creativity. I’ll unpack that later…

If you’ve been juggling too much lately too — I see you. We all feel that juggle-struggle now and again. Let’s keep showing up anyway. Messy, colorful, a little late… but still here. 🩷

How do you balance your creative pull with your never-ending list of responsibilities?

(P.S. I mocked this pattern up on wrapping paper, gift bags, and more — and I’m kinda obsessed.)

Just a little proof of life during a very busy season šŸ©·šŸ©µšŸ’™

On top of the usual Mom in May chaos ( ), I’ve been picking up extra sub jobs before summer break so it’s busy X busy over here.

And what time I do have to work, I’ve been focusing on making art because that’s really taken a back burner the past few weeks.

I was starting to feel burned out bc all my work time was spent marketing and not making. Hopefully, I’ll come back in a couple weeks full of art to share šŸ©·šŸ©µšŸ’š.

How are y’all doing? I’m definitely missing this little community and want to know what you’re up to!

🤠Which design would you wear to a country night?

On June 12, I’ll be doing a live t-shirt pop-up before Newington Goes Country! You bring the shirt, I bring the heat (press).

Choose from a lineup of pre-cut ā€œflashā€ vinyl designs and I’ll press it right there while you shop.

Here’s the starting lineup but I need your help before the official style showdown begins!

šŸ‘‡ Drop a comment if there’s a phrase, lyric, or design you think needs to be in the mix. Because country is the one type of music not usually on my playlist.

Then stay tuned for the Style Showdown, next week, where YOU get to vote your faves through the bracket to help me decide which designs make it to the final cut!

šŸŽ‰ Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up (May 5–9) and you know I have to take care of my teachers!

I made a free printable gift tag just for email subscribers — perfect to pair with a coffee gift card, some chocolate, or honestly, just to say ā€œthank you.ā€

But I got inspired and couldn’t stop there...
Now there’s also a brand new editable Canva gift tag in the shop —
āž• Kids can color it in
āž• Add their name (or leave it blank and sign it by hand!)
āž• Use it as a tag which can double as a bookmark
If I was the teacher? I’d totally keep it in my book forever. šŸ„¹šŸ“š

🩷 Want the freebie?
Subscribe via the link in bio and I’ll send it to you this week.

✨Want the editable tags now?
They’re live on the website too. Front and center at partyyourworld.com

8 years ago today, I started Party Your World with one goal: create a flexible way to work while raising my kids.

It was never about getting rich. It was about building a life filled with creativity, peace, and purpose.

If you measure success by dollars, this would be a quiet story.

But if you measure it by joy, freedom, and hope for the future, it’s a celebration. šŸŽ‰

Let’s take a little walk down memory lane shall we?

Swipe through for a few snapshots from the messy(I’m looking at you 2020), magical, handmade journey so far🩷

Whether you’ve been here since the early Etsy days or just found me recently, thank you for being part of this story.

P.S. It’s also my 20th anniversary of MY 21st birthday. šŸ˜‰

If you want to give me a little birthday present, make sure you’re signed up for my email list! šŸŽ

The full story hits inboxes later today. šŸ’Œ

23/04/2025

As my kids went back to school this Monday after a much-needed break, I finally got back to my morning routine and actually had time to think. How glorious to be alone with my thoughts for the first time in 11 days.

And then it hit me: this week marks eight years since I started Party Your World. Of course, I got reflective (because y’all know I do that a lot) and thought about what a topsy-turvy journey it’s been.

One thing that’s helped me through the hardest parts? Mantras. Little phrases I repeat to myself when I’m stressed or spiraling – just enough to get grounded again.

I love stories, and inspirational quotes are like mini stories I tell myself to keep going.

So here are some of the quotes and mantras I’ve leaned on most over the past eight years—from the ā€œjust survive thisā€ days to the moments when it felt like it was finally time to thrive.

Feel free to save one and come back to it when you need a little push. And swing by later this week to help me celebrate eight years of progress – both the everyday kind and the big milestone kind, too.

Do you have any mantras that keep you motivated?

This week’s is brought to you by April break.

We are celebrating doing all the fun things like:
Potting propagated plants
Repotting growing plants
Bird watching! 🦢 🦢
Visiting the
Sushi dates

And there’s more to come! (Fun that is, but probably not anymore posts because we’re busy living 🩷🩵🩷)

🌟 Karma’s Closet got a little Party Your World refresh this week! I dropped off:

āœ”ļø Birthday banners
āœ”ļø Graduation banners (in Newington blue & gold!)
āœ”ļø Andddd clearanced out a bunch of bookmarks to make room for new and improved ones coming soon: think heavier cardstock, matte finish, and eco-friendlier. (Is that word?)

✨ALSO… Deanna and I started planning a custom shirt pop-up for June 12 during Ladies Night šŸ‘€šŸ‘•

For now, go check out the fresh drop and snag some goodies before they’re gone!

P.s. This audio is a hint at the theme for the shirts.

Done is better than perfect. Clarity comes from action. Progress over perfection.Ā  Blah, blah, blah. Tell me something I don’t know.

But do I like... KNOW know?  Apparently not, because when I finally took all that cliché advice, I was still surprised by the results.

Back in January, I made a commitment to post here consistently for 90 days.Ā  I’ve made that same promise before, but I always ended up burned out or discouraged halfway through.

So I took the clichƩ advice and changed my goal.

In the past, the goal wasn’t actually consistency, it was to ā€œfigure out the algorithmā€ and get it ā€œright.ā€Ā  This time, the goal was just to collect data.Ā  Whether a post was great or not, it was all just information.

And looky here: I met my goal. Wahoo!

So today I’m celebrating the fact that I stuck with it, I learned a lot, and I’ve got solid data to build on in Q2.

What’s something YOU learned from just doing the thing, even when it wasn’t perfect?

Now that I’ve been illustrating for a whole year (!!), I can actually look back at where I started and build on it—which is a new feeling because you know your girl loves to reinvent the wheel every year.

Last spring, I made these little bunny Peeps and turned them into a pattern that never made it to production. But this year? I gave the design a fresh spin with some new color options… and now I can’t decide which version to use in this week’s craft tutorial. šŸ˜…

Help a girl out—vote for your fave in the comments (A, B, or C?)

And while you’re at it… what should I make with it?

I was thinking a mini banner you can personalize in Canva (add your kiddo’s name, use it for party decor, classroom treats, Easter baskets, etc.)

But I’m open to cupcake toppers, treat bag tags, or whatever your brilliant brain comes up with. šŸ‘‡šŸ°āœØ

šŸŽ‰ The Art of Everyday Celebration šŸŽ‰
This weekend my son turned _eleven_ — and for the first time ever, I didn’t make him a cake topper.

He’s just not into it anymore. And honestly, that’s okay.(Totally fine.Ā  I definitely didn’t cry or anything.)Ā  It’s a little bittersweet, sure — but it also made me pause and look back.

I won’t share a pic of him (he’s not a fan of taking pics these days or posting them), but I _will_ share some of the cake toppers I’ve made over the years — plus a few photos from his very first birthday.

My love for books and parties collided early, so it was a storybook theme.Ā  Obviously, I went _all in_: high chair banner, centerpieces, custom cake — the whole thing. I wasn’t even making cake toppers yet, but that party? It was the beginning of everything.

I didn’t know it then, but crafting those details just to make him smile? That’s where the spark for Party Your World started.

And now here we are — over a decade later, still celebrating the little things. Still making stuff with hands and heart. Still believing that joy can live in paper and string and frosting and banners.

The nature of life is: things change.
Kids grow up.
Tastes come and go.
But love? It can only grow.

And thanks to this boy who made me a momma, my love for celebrating has grown into a business — and now a community — where I hope to spread the joy of everyday celebration.
We all need it right now. ā¤ļø
