I'm Megan Landmeier, the photographer behind this business. I began learning about photography when my daughter was born and I spent long hours in the NICU next to her. I've since grown to love outdoor portraits and taking family photos. As a mom, I know that I often find myself behind the camera, but I know the value of having photos of everyone, including mom, that look great on the walls of you

I am a National Board of Professional Teaching Standards certified special education teacher and I have my own child with Down syndrome, so I'm happy to adjust for your child's specific sensory or other needs. Along with photography, I love to run and read, and sometimes both at the same time thanks to audiobooks.

I haven't posted in ages! I'm in the middle of a big photography break and not taking clients, as we are back in the United States and I have begun work on my doctorate, started a new teaching job, and getting settled back here. However, I did force my kids out for some photos so you all can see how they've grown.

Once I'm Dr Landmeier, maybe I'll return to taking clients!

You may have noticed things are slow around here. Well, with full time graduate school and full time teaching (and a husband and two kids and I dog i enjoy seeing sometimes) I am very much limiting sessions right now.

That said? These last few sessions were time well spent! If you’re interested in a session, contact me early as I will be very limited - a session every month at most!

I hardly did any photography work for 15 months because of Covid, but the last couple weeks were packed! A fun little family session (including spoiled former street dog turned diplo-dog) with my neighbors. We moved in across the street from each other in Bogota two years ago and have become great friends. Sending them lots of love and best wishes for their onward post, and I know we’ll end up living somewhat near each other again at some point!

A year ago, I thought seniors had the weirdest year ever.

I was wrong.

Virtual, Hybrid, Group AB, Virtual, Hybrid, and back to Virtual, with a socially distanced, PCR-required, and small group graduation ceremony... Class of 2021, we are proud of you and we hope your college years provide some consistency!

Well, the seniors are ending their year virtually, and this photo felt appropriate to share.

Most of you know that I was a teacher who took time off with my youngest when I started my business. I'm back in the classroom now, and photography has taken a bit of a backseat this crazy year.

Do I think going virtual the rest of the year makes sense? Absolutely. But my heart breaks for the second class in two years to have this bizarre end to their senior year!
