One thing you probably didn’t think of when packing up for your big day...
Pretty hangers!!!
It seems silly, but trust me. Your dress and likely your bridesmaid’s dresses will be photographed on hangers as part of your wedding day detail shots.
You can go all out and get a customized name hanger or just keep it simple and make sure you have nice, matching hangers that didn’t come from the dry cleaners 😀
You’ll be glad you did!

You’ve heard of a “Glow Up”...what about a “Green Up”?
What better way to show your commitment to the environment than striving for a Zero Waste Wedding?
This week we will be sharing a ton of sustainable event ideas so get your pen and notebook (made from recycled paper, of course) and jot down some of your favorites!

We kick it off with THREE Zero Waste Wedding Ideas!

1. Include a compost service like O-Town Compost in your plans! Did you know the average wedding in the U.S. produces 400 pounds of trash! Oh the shame! By integrating this service into your wedding day, you can reduce that by up to 75%!
Booking a green event with these guys is extremely easy, affordable and responsible. Plus, after the event, you receive a personalized report with key metrics on your environmental impact.

2. Opt for a biodegradable confetti exit or send off instead of sparklers! Tina and Luis’s ceremony exit of dried flower petal confetti was so beautifully photographed by Lillie Shawn Imagery, required no clean up and was eco-friendly!

3. Go completely digital!
Now, I know we all love the look and romance of paper wedding goods (there are also recycled paper options) so this isn’t for everyone. In fact, traditionalists will gasp at the thought of going completely digital with your invites and RSVPs. BUT, if you want to keep your wedding paper products out of the landfill, it is something to consider. Amanda was totally right! A great vendor team makes for an incredible experience. From start to finish.
The vendors that made this wedding day so memorable yesterday are some of my absolute favorites.
Lillie Shawn Imagery - I love Suzie for her coffee chat realness almost as much as her STUNNING work.
Bluegrass Chic - Their floral design is always beyond expectations and delivered with such care and grace.
PolkBros Entertainment - One of the best families in the biz! The bros of Polk Bros are only outdone by their fearless leader, Pop...who I could talk to for hours!

First time working with...
Laura Reynolds Artistry Hair and Makeup Team - the girls looked flawless, seriously all day and into the night! Loved the ease of communication ahead of time too!
Florida Candy Buffets - Farida created such a picture perfect spread (pictures to come)
The guests LOVED everything and I may have sampled one too many gummie bears...

Last but not least, Lakeside Inn, Mount Dora is such a hidden Florida gem of a wedding venue and one of my new favorite places. So much charm here, I can hardly stand it! The sunset is something you have to see to believe.
