Calling all readers & book lovers! ’s bookish segment, Main Mata Podcast, is inviting you all to come to their first ever book swap event called TUKAR TAMBAH. The event will be held on December 14, 2019 from 2-8 pm at Dekoruma Experience Center 2nd floor, Gandaria, South Jakarta.
Expect to find a lot of awesome preloved books recommended with love by their previous owners; from fiction to nonfiction written by local and foreign authors.
Bring your preloved books to exchange them with books available at the event! Here are the rules:
1. take one book, leave one book
2. Books that you bring should be: the ones that you like but you probably don’t love or the ones that you love so much you want others to feel the same way as you do
3. Books are in good condition
4. Write a simple personal note stating: your name, phone no/email (optional), social media account, and a brief reason why you recommend others to read it; and then put it inside each book you want to swap

We present you our very first product in Artist Merchandise Series that will be released real soon! This short sleeve graphic tee features an awesome artwork from one of our favorite illustrators, . Titled “EGO”, it serves as a reminder for us, human, to not spoil what we have by caring more about other living things.

Artist Merchandise Series is one of our ways to create an appreciation of illustration in the form of gestures and collecting, because there is always something for everyone. Merchandising work is nothing new, but it is always interesting for us because merchandise is a democratic way of getting someone’s work into the world.

We’ve known and his awesome works for quite some time, but we’ve just seen something interesting in his latest artworks. He takes his figurative art to the next level by working in layers of mixed media, making his works beautifully express more feelings and mood.

The “Freja” artwork above, for example, was actually one of his paintings on a sketchbook that he modified into a mixed-media work of art.

Meet The Artist Series 02: Angkringan Igor with yesterday. Alam talked about his creative journey in inventing his monster character and his experience from being a full-time worker in advertising agencies in Jakarta to a freelance illustrator in Bali while cooking instant noodle for all of us! Thank you everyone for coming. We hope you enjoyed the chitchat, the drawing, and the food.
