Hello everyone 👋 I’m Sarah (pictured centre) and I thought I’d re-introduce myself for those who don’t know me, although Sparkle and EVE have shared many traders and customers over the years as south-east England based vegan-founded businesses 💪

💚 Please make sure you are following Sparkle Vegan Events as we will be announcing our 2025 calendar soon! So you don’t miss it, sign up to www.sparkleveganevents.com/newsletter. I look forward to welcoming all of you (or seeing you again) at our events when our season kicks off in April.
💚 Our current locations include Berkshire (Reading, Wokingham and Windsor), Hampshire (Basingstoke, Fleet and Romsey), Oxfordshire (Henley and Witney) and London (Ealing and Richmond). Plus now Surrey and beyond (Guildford, Godalming, Farnham, Alton and Evesham).
💚 Our very first event was Reading Vegan Festival in 2017 which still takes place in my hometown. We pride ourselves on running events that showcase the vegan lifestyle and where everyone is welcome, while adding a touch of SPARKLE: Supportive, Promoted, Atmospheric, Reputable, Knowledgeable, Local and Ethical.
💚 We organise festivals (big annual events), fiestas (1-3 times a year), markets (5+ times a year) and villages (part of another event).
💚 We are a non-profit business run by a small team with staff including Jeanette, Jay, Nimisha, Jen and Ella, plus many amazing volunteers.
💚 I myself am the founder of Sparkle Vegan Events and have been vegan for over 8 years (veggie for a decade before that). I worked in project management, party planning and charity event management for many years before starting Sparkle. I have also been a vegan caterer and an animal rights campaigner. Alongside Sparkle I am a solo parent to two lovely vegan boys (3.5 year old Zackary and 6 month old Xander).

I have enjoyed working with Louise (pictured right) the past few months to ensure a super smooth transition and I would like to wish her all the very best wishes on her next, and hopefully less-pressurised, chapter 🙏

THAT'S A WRAP

To all our traders and customers past and present, I want to thank you for all of your support, through the good times and the more challenging ones.

What a journey the last 8 years has been, from humble beginnings launching a small vegan fair in the Guildford Institute to expanding to the HG Wells Centre in Woking for the next two years, before then dipping our toes in street markets.

I never imagined how successful these events would be and how long we have continued running them for, so for that I am eternally grateful.

I won't lie it's been a long and difficult decision, but as always health comes first and running these events whilst living with chronic illness has not been easy, so I am looking forward to slowing down.

Please do ensure you continue to support these events under the new management . I am sure you will see more growth and improvements, and I am so grateful that Sarah will be at the helm.

If I didn't get to say goodbye in person due to our last couple of cancelled events then I am sure you will bump into me as a customer in 2025.

CANCELLED - GUILDFORD FESTIVE MARKET

it is with a heavy heart that the guildford festive market has also been cancelled for sunday.

with heavy rains, strong winds of over 25mph and gusts over 50mph it is not safe to hold a street market in these conditions.

so this means both our events have now been cancelled which is obviously a huge blow for us and all our amazing traders, so please where possible for the rest of the year please keep supporting these small businesses at other events and also take a look at their websites as many businesses have online stores.

with heavy rain, strong winds of over 25mph and gusts over 50mph it is not safe to hold a street market in these conditions.
