Conisbrough Music Fest

We're extremely sorry to hear today of the passing of our long time fellow organiser and local artist Darren Beachill.
Darren gave his time and considerable talent freely to CMF and other local festivals by providing artwork and stage back drops. He would never take anything other than cash for materials, he considered it an honour to support his community.
He was actively involved with a number of events like Party on The Pit, Summer of Love, Conisbrough Music Fest as well as the Tour de Yorkshire where he painted a mural on top of Seafish Restaurant. He was a big supporter of the Remembrance Sunday Event and always displayed his fantastic painting in Coronation Park of Conisbrough VC winner Sgt. Laurence Calvert.
Darren will be remembered by us a humble guy with a great talent who loved his community. We send our heartfelt condolences and thoughts to his family and wider group of friends who will miss him dearly.

Saturday 6th May !!!!!! Free Event!!!!!!
Come and watch the Kings Coronation Live on a Big LED screen in the grounds of Castle Academy School. Bring you blankets or deck chairs and see the first Coronation in 70 Years.
For the first 100 Kids registered on the event they will receive a free packed lunch with drink and also a free ice from the onsite ice cream van.
You can just turn up on the day to watch but no free packed lunches will be available on the day, packed lunches must be booked no later than Thursday 4th May at 5pm.
Refreshments available onsite
Toilets available onsite and also other activities going off.
Sorry as its based in the school grounds no Alcohol is allowed on site.

After three years without an event we feel that the time is now right to inform you that we won't be holding another Conisbrough Music Fest. Over the years, the festival has grown and demanded more and more time from our small organising team. To complete a successful and safe event takes a great deal of planning and time, which we can no longer commit. We also feel that we have achieved everything we set out to do, promoting our village in a positive light and bringing some happiness to our community. We'd like to thank everyone who's bought tickets, danced, laughed and sang along. Every band, DJ and solo artist, who performed on our stages. Every sponsor who's supported us financially, and our local Councillors who've always given us 100% support. It's been a truly memorable few years! Although we are calling it a day, there is talk of other festivals locally filling the gap. We wish them success and the same support you've all given CMF over the years. However, we should stress that we have no involvement with any future festivals taking place this Summer. Thanks once again for the memories. Conisbrough is great! Don't put it down, put it rayte!

For one man and a guitar it makes a big sound! Great to have Martin Ferguson of Stafford Galli down at our Jubilee event on Saturday. His take on the Rolling Stones classic Sympathy For The Devil was electric! 👌🎸
