Dvāra: a sanskrit word loosely used to mean "a door/ an entrance/ a way/ a family/ by means of/ through" etc. In our context, dvara is an intimate gathering space where social innovators can connect with like-minded individuals, engage in creative projects and come up with innovative solutions to benefit the community. We derive our inspiration from the concept of "Civic Hacking" which is defined
as “a new idea, technology or methodology that challenges and improves upon existing processes and systems, thereby improving the lives of citizens or the function of the society that they live within.”
All in all, dvara is an experiment to see if positive social impact can be fostered within the community from a small gathering place...
