About the Builder

Hi I’m Max, a craft builder based in North-Western Ontario. I specialize in building foam cosplay armor and props.

I started building early on in my childhood with Gundam model kits but didn’t dive deep into the world of crafting until my dad got sick and I spent a lot of time in the hospital with him. I got my first Gundam High-Grade kit to pass the time while visiting. Over the next couple of years I started painting and kitbashing to really make the models uniquely my own design.

At some point I realized that building on a small scale wasn’t enough and I began to try my hand at building cosplay armor with foam. I started building helmets and weapons of characters I liked from anime and video games and then I moved on to building props and armor for other cosplayers in my local community. I have worked with a variety of different mediums such as EVA foam, Worbla, plexiglass, and foam clay. I have experience with installing lighting into costume pieces and custom fitting and mounting armor.
