For over a decade, Larry Levan ruled the dance-music world from his roost in the DJ booth at New York’s legendary Paradise Garage.
Garage devotees from Brooklyn and Queens came for the atmosphere, the electricity, the “religious experience.” But mostly, they came for the music: the “garage sound.

Larry educated New York not just about music but about the total world of sound.

This is what the Aria movement stands for the music, the sound and its ritual experience.

Aria is delighted to announce Szeir as new Aria resident .

Introduced by a close friend Dom, and met in 2019 at one of our most iconic secret location events. Szeir captivated Aria spirit immediately for his approach, and attitude towards techno culture.

A regular behind the turntables both in London and beyond, Szeir’s residency at Aria is a partnership driven by joint musical values and ideals. His music selection is rhythm-focused, while regularly combining old with new to create a multifaceted dance floor experience for the listener.

Aria movement is ready to write a new historical chapter in the Aria journey with such a dedicated artist with a pure vision and mindset.

I am nothing in comparison to the music - Mike Banks.

Back in 2018, the Aria movement kicked off with a clear mission: preserve techno culture in our modern times and spread its message to future generations.

These words from MAD MIKE, who co-founded Underground Resistance alongside Robert Hood and Jeff Mills, have been our motive. Aria vision is deeply rooted with the bedrock of Detroit's techno foundation, the legacy of Birmingham, and the Spiral Tribe movement.

From the London secret location gatherings to our latest endeavor, our mission has remained unshaken: defend this culture.

Aria is delighted to host Bartig move on Aria Series 53rd episode. In this episode we have the honour to hear a set of all his own productions both released and unreleased.

We had the pleasure to meet Gabriel from the very beginning of Aria secret location events before discovering is amazing talent.
Gabriel is the person behind Bartig Move, a project created to express his feelings through the dancefloor.

Born in 1992 in the northwest of Spain, his interest in music started at a very young age, influenced by the electronic music of the 90's and early 2000's. He started djing and producing in his teenage years, exploring and going through different visions of techno.

Relocated to London in 2015, is in this city where he discovers new influences that will make a big impact on his style. Is not until 2020 when he decides to air his work and starts releasing music.

With a bunch of releases already under his belt, his trajectory is emerging, with much music to be released on respected labels in the near future.

He is currently one half of the duo alongside ,and founder and promoter of London based events .ldn.

Aria Series 50th episode welcome Ordep.

Both in the studio and behind the decks, Ordep's output is unapologetically bold. Obsessive, forward-thinking sound system fuel that stands the test of time. This ethos is further embodied by his label: //futureproof ().

As a nod to London's cultural diversity, Ordep's Techno-centric sets can sometimes take sharp turns into unexpected territories. In this instance, however, he delivers a selection of bleepy, hypnotic Techno spanning three decades of history.

Aria Series 49th Episode is now out with a techno lesson from master Jamie behan (Bastardo.electrico // KilleKill)

One of Irish techno’s most dedicated warriors, Jamie Behan has been an unrelenting figure at the centre of the electronic music in Ireland for over two decades and is widely acknowledged as the godfather of the techno scene in his home city of Cork through his long-running club night and label “Bastardo Electrico”.

Despite being known as an out and out techno heavyweight, Behan’s sound stretches across old school Chicago house, electro, old-school rave & further.

Undoubtedly a “DJ’s DJ” who has been keeping it real in the international techno community without caving to any bulls*** he has brought his intense but eclectic and funky brand of techno to clubs & festivals such as Tresor, Griessmuehle, Corsica Studios, Meat Free, Dimensions Festival and many others around Europe and beyond in England, Holland, Belgium, Spain, Croatia, Malta, Switzerland, Jordan, UAE, and Bahrain.

Having released both solo productions and collaborations on Bastardo Electrico, Killekill, Nice & Nasty, & Shelter Records, Behan is stepping up his production game with a debut solo EP forthcoming on Bastardo Electrico and a forthcoming collaborations with fellow Irish DJ & Producer Cailin alongside further colorations with DJ Flush under their “Cork Bangers” alias to be announced soon for Killekill and Fear-E’s Posh End Music imprint alongside other artistic projects.

Aria is delighted to present Deranged on Aria series 48th episode.

Aria's goal has always been to give space to all the talented djs of our community, and feels amazing to have artists on board who have been always on our dancefloor during our journey.

Deranged is an up-and-coming Lithuanian artist in the London scene. Over the past years he has been carefully studying his influences and crafting his style. Rolling and groovy basslines, sinister and hypnotic rhythms, minimalistic yet powerful percussions are the distinctive details in his sound. Effectively blending both old school and new, the aim is to keep the listener locked in the groove the whole time. He is the founder of Insignia collective, which is a wild underground event series consisting of warehouses and outdoor secret locations in London.

He recently released a track on a VA and a debut first EP for the new PRTL WRX label which received good feedback and support from some great names in the industry like Setaoc Mass, Kaiser, Luke Slater, Richie Hawtin, James Ruskin, Temudo, Kmyle, Cristian Valera, A Thousand Details, Antonio De Angelis, Takaaki Itoh and more.

Aria Series is proud to present Joton.

The Spanish Underground electronic scene would not be the same without Jotón, a respected DJ and producer who has been dignifying his profession and designing unconventional sounds for more than 20 years. From his studio in the city of León, he has managed to create his own style based on the most orthodox Techno,which has been imitated by artists from all over the world.

He is also the founder of the label Newrhythmic, with which he has supported national and international artists for more than 2 decades.
Joton is a tireless and prolific creator. His work has been published by labels as important as Fabric, Modularz, Quartz, Odd Even, Symbolism, Planet Rhythm, Raw Raw, Dynamic Reflection or Skryptö

In 2015, he released his first album ‘Casting Out Nines’, a work that received excellent reviews from the specialized press and conquered Techno lovers. ‘Casting Out Nines’ was undoubtedly one of the best albums of that year , and moreover, it was presented in 10 countries in 3 different continents.

2017 saw the release of his second major project, ‘R3silient’, in which Jotón delved into his purest and most analogue side, and thanks to which returned to the roots of Techno. In 2018 he released two new works, Antioquia ́ the German label ODD EVEN and xtreme Mesures ́ on RAW RAW.
Jotón complements his DJ/Producer facet with teaching.

His production courses are interactive experiences in which the student gets to perfect his technique and shape his sound. His latest album ikikomori ́ was born from these courses in 2021. `Hikikomori ́ could be defined as a collaborative work with students and friends that narrates the experience of isolation produced by the pandemic.

Jotón has been a protagonist in the booths of some of the best clubs in the world. Temples such as Under club (Buenos Aires), Tresor (Berlin), Vault Sessions (Amsterdam), Rex club and Le Batofar (Paris), Corsica Studios (London), Grelle Forelle (Vienna), Propaganda (Moscow), Domunne (Tokyo), Vurt (Seoul), Liquid Club (Malta), Gare (Porto), Razzmat.

Last Aria series of 2022 with LKY.

We are delighted to introduce you LKY a DJ/Producer from the UK who has been strongly shaped by the UK techno scene through running his own events, DJing and writing music since 2012. His style has naturally progressed towards the driving and hypnotic style of the genre building energy throughout. Born in the UK, Nathan Lockwood has been exposed to electronic music from an early age.

With over 10 years experience in the scene from event goer to promoter to now a DJ/Producer playing all across Europe delivering Hypnotic rhythms with core dub influence throughout all of his sets.

LKY’s first release in the more hypnotic specification of the genre was in 2020 for Drawner. Since then, LKY has released music on OECUS, SYXT and Secession. In 2020 LKY also saw the formation of his self-release series titled ‘LKY’ which was an opportunity to showcase LKY’s style and direction. LKY has also had great support for his releases from Pioneers of the scene we love and cherish such as; DVS1, Freddy K, Matrixxman, Setaoc Mass, Ben Klock and many more.'

Aria Series 45th episode presents:
London based Dj/Producer and resident Aria Series 45th episode present EKΛTΛ is self-described as genre and sound obsessive. She has built a reputation as a huge advocate for Electro and a creator of a dark and warped experience. Her sound best personifies ominous grooves and obvious sci-fi fixations which embody her carefully picked selections and the journey she takes you on.

EKATA has just announced her debut release on 'planet destroyed' - a VA by AVOIDANT, the Electro sister label of Soma records due for release on the 5th of Dec 2022.

Other artists featured on the same VA are long standing top tier artists such as Marcel dettman, Slam, terrestrial Access Network + many more.

EKATA has also just recently been selected along with a couple of other artists as one of the new faces of the biggest music institution in the world - TRESOR in Berlin, which saw her play in the prestigious cage in September 2022.

Aswell as many gigs in Berlin this year, she has just joined leiden agency in France so has an exciting 2023 in the pipeline.

XONO Invites

In June 2019 he begun his highly respected, "XONO invites" residency on London’s Threads radio. The monthly radio show is a platform which allows him to welcome artists from all over. Engaging in conversation with each guest to find out more about their own inspirations and experiences through their careers. Each artist also delivers a guest mix which gives the listener a full understanding of the artists art and intentions.

Around the same time he meet FLAWS another London based artist who shared similar views on the direction of their music. Through countless conversations a relationship grew between the pair which has lead them both into a long term friendship and partnership. Together they carefully design the sound of their label platform 22. A label that has earned its respect for its superb discography and the focus in its direction.

All this whilst managing to keep up a steady release schedule on labels such as platform 22 . As well as others like BCCO, 01366, Canticle and Jay Clarke’s BLACKAXON imprint

2022 has been a promising year so far his career with clubs reopening and especially with the launch of his new XONO invites event. A series of intimate party’s which he plans to tour with this summer.
