Whether it's a company picnic, grand opening, kid's night, family night, fair, festival, wedding, birthday, fund raiser, family reunion, car show, bon fire or barbecue--anywhere kids gather, let us help you add more smiles to your event! We fuel imagination! We create interest everywhere our clients may roam! We bring more smiles to your event! I can paint about 10-12 full faces per hour. The numb
er of faces per hour can vary greatly, dependent upon designs. At high-volume events, I include smaller designs (quarter to half face/mask style) and fewer choices, in order to handle volume without sacrificing quality. Design offerings are based on expected attendance, as best as can be anticipated. Please keep in mind that due to time constraints, not every event is painted in "full face" designs. I am an insured face painter. I'm covered by Beauty & Bodywork Insurance. Proof provided upon request. I can work indoor or outdoor, as long as weather and lighting are good. I have no special requirements other than a relatively flat space to set up the canopy. My indoor setup can vary and be more flexible to the space, with or without the canopy. Face painting is a voluntary activity! I will not paint anyone who is obviously uncomfortable with the idea. As a general rule, I do not paint the faces of children under the age of 3. It's a safety call on my part as they are too unpredictable. I will paint an arm or hand, if they'd like. For children who may still be too unsure, we offer a free sticker. Faces must be clean and healthy! I cannot paint anyone who is ill or has any skin condition (such as sunburn, eczema, impetigo, etc.). I cannot paint over open wounds or scabs (including scratches or acne). I've worked public and private events all over southern Wisconsin, Dubuque, IA and Galena, IL since 2012. Some events we've painted include the Janesville Renaissance Faire (Janesville, WI), A Gathering of Rogues & Ruffians, A Renaissance Faire (New Glarus, WI), Grand Harbor Resort & Waterpark (Dubuque, IA), DBQ Con (Dubuque, IA), Vesperman Farms Pumpkin Patch (Lancaster, WI), Mad Gael Irish Music Festival (Madison, WI), and Can Can Wonderland, (St. Paul, MN). PRODUCTS USED:
I use professional face and body paints, a type of makeup, that is FDA compliant, cosmetic grade, and made for use on skin and faces. Glitters used are also cosmetic grade only, for skin and eye safety. My paints are not waterproof! They are removed easily with soap and water. Any moisture, including sweat and water-themed events will also wash away paints. Although they are not waterproof, I can use a fixing spray to help seal and extend design life, upon request. Waterproof paints are available by request, for an additional fee. They are not part of my regular kit during festivals. Waterproof paint is alcohol-based and can be harsh on skin, therefore I only paint adult faces. 18 and under can be painted on arms, legs, etc, but not on the face. TO REMOVE PAINT:
Baby wipes are not recommended! Their ingredients can set some stains on skin, and cause allergic reactions for some. Wipe away as much paint as possible with paper towel and water. Gently wash with a mild soap like Castile, glycerin, or baby shampoo. For stubborn colors, try applying coconut oil, baby oil, cold cream, or hand lotion. Allow to set for a few minutes, then wash again with mild soap. Facepaints can and will stain fabrics and clothing! I bring Benadryl tablets and creme along, in case of allergic reactions. People with allergies or sensitive skin issues should have a patch test done.
**Acrylic/craft/tempera/poster paints are not safe for use on skin and should never be allowed.**
