All it takes is ONE connection to change your life. Take our friend, , who's the CEO of the Midwest House music sponsor . Two years ago, Dre was running a completely different music tech startup and still working a day job. One big Midwest House connection later – her company was aquired by Opnr, and she was named the new CEO.

A year later and she's graduated both and the Conquer Accelerator, and she's back at Midwest House doin' what she loves: hooking up killer bands and musicians with equally awesome venues.

Since the very beginning, we've always called Midwest House a "wild experiement in regional collaboration." And it's never been more true than this year. We have groups from all over the region working together to tell one big Midwestern story.

When you can get , , , , , , , and all rowing in the same direction, you can do some pretty cool things.

Fact is, this kind of collaboration is just what we do in the Midwest. It's kind of our super power.

SXSW is an innovator and creative thinkers playground, and way back in 2015, we found ourselves wondering: where's the Midwest representation? Insert a million sleepless nights, several years of loading up moving trucks, and phone calls to our cool and connected friends, and violà: Midwest House was born.

Eight years later, we're giving the Midwest the spotlight it deserves by showcasing all the amazing talent from region on a global stage, with access to connections we wouldn't find otherwise.

We're a team of dreamers, doers, innovators, and creatives hellbent on shaking up the way the rest of the world thinks about the Midwest.

Wednesday is the big day for our friends at @startgarden . It’s Demo Day 2021 where 100 entrepreneurs, who’ve already won $1000, will compete to win $20,000 to help grow their idea into a business.
