My Story
Ashley Joyner is the owner and designer at Joyfleur, a wood flower florist. A creative at heart, Ashley briefly practiced floral design as a way to earn money while working on her bachelors degree in Mass Communications from Westfield State College. Not only did she enjoy working with flowers, she had a knack for it, too. Those skills and interest in flowers were set aside for nearly fourteen years while she focused on a successful career in bank marketing, most recently as Vice President of Digital Marketing & Communications at Blue Hills Bank where she played an integral role in rebranding and growing the financial institution.
Shortly after it was announced that Blue Hills Bank was to be acquired in the first half of 2019, Ashley sought out work opportunities that were closer to home and that also provided her a much needed creative outlet. During that time, Ashley rediscovered her love for floral design with wood flowers. Working with wood flowers enabled her to transform the raw blossoms into colorful hand painted flowers and succulents, but then into unique, one-of-a-kind arrangements. Through the positive feedback from friends and family, Ashley quickly realized that her new hobby had the potential to become more. From there Joyfleur was born.
Ashley resides in Berlin, MA with her husband and two sons. For more information about Ashley’s offerings shop Etsy at https://www.etsy.com/shop/JoyfleurCreations and follow Joyfleur on Facebook and Instagram.
