A sample of traditional Venezuelan music from 1973 was used in our release “Camino” on #GU44 compiled by Amelie Lens on Global Underground. The sample was recorded by Oswaldo Lares. His search and fascination for finding the musical roots of his country led Oswaldo Lares to visit the rural villages outside Caracas, investigating the many and varied musical cultures of the region. We came across the sample while visiting Oye Records in berlin where they had “Musica De Venezuela 1972-81” on Vinyl. We cleared the sample with his son Guillermo Lares. How wonderful a recording of a Venezuelan singer now 50 years later finds its way onto a modern electronic production for the world to enjoy! 👾👽 #techno #electro #newrelease #sample #amelielens
