Y’all I simply cannot. The glow & joy radiating from this sweet couple’s wedding is so tangible. Love love love x a billion. Such a gift to get to design the flowers for my old friend/roommate’s special day. I’ll post some ceremony photos later because they’re also so gorgeous. Cheers to the happy couple!! (Note: since this was early in the season, much of the floral material came from the wholesaler - who does an amazing job - but we got some stunning local foliage and flowers to accent that from some wonderful growers in the Driftless area!) Happy 4th!! Thankful to live in a country where we’re free to do weird things like add this AMAZING electric cart to our farm (yes it came like that and yes we’re keeping the horns on 😂). And also ever hopeful that we continue fighting for the rights and freedom of everyone here who still experiences oppression. 💙 Look closely at the first pic to see little cow-print goats sleeping on the big cow cart! 😂😂😂

Fun arch from this one of this past weekend’s weddings, for a dear old friend & roommate. Her beautiful, intimate wedding vision was so lovely and we can’t wait to see photos from the big day! But wow designing this arch was one of my favorite things. Loved the moon shape!! Our flowers are just starting to get going but we got to supplement the lovely product from our wholesaler with some of our own flowers and lots of gorgeous local foliage from Blossom & Bee farm. ✨

The beautiful Spring Green wedding we got to flower for yesterday was full of color & used 100% locally grown flowers from , , and a few things from our own farm (our season is having a slow start but so thankful for other amazing flower farmers in the area who grow different things than we do!) 😍😍😍 Loved designing this bridal bouquet so so much! Congrats and thank you to this week’s couple who are newly married!! 🥂

Lush lavender bridal bouquet from this weekend’s wedding! Loooved this fun color palette and getting to select ruffly spring blooms for this pretty bouquet. Humongous shoutout to the wonderful .linnebur for sharing her design skills to make this wedding happen - I had to be unexpectedly out of office at the end of the week and she stepped in to execute the designs we’d been working on for months. Loving our little team so much and psyched to be rolling into the full swing of wedding season 🥰. And always always so into the awesome and creative couples who choose our team to design their joyful celebrations! 🥂

Made these super fun floral pocket squares for the groomsmen in our first wedding of the season and had so much fun getting creative with all the little details! These cuties get tucked right into the suit pockets and the flowers just peek out. And the mini white daffodils were grown on our farm! So excited our couple wanted to do these for their special day! 🥂

Shewwwwt do we love a statement arch. Can’t help posting more pics from this wedding. This cute little number was 100% foam free and took us about 4 hours to design from start to finish 💕. Every detail of this wedding was so meticulously planned by the couple, and having a beautiful focal piece for the ceremony - in such a bright, open space - was some gorgeous icing on the cake. 📸: 🥂

Our Wreath Workshop at yesterday was such a blast!! People came out and designed their own wreaths, tasted and learned about delicious wine varieties, and snacked on grazing boxes. foraged all of the greenery from their gorgeous acreage, and we brought the local dried flowers (of course) 💛. After a short tutorial, everyone was off and running and created the most beautiful, customized wreaths. I was so impressed with how everyone’s work came out and it’s truly my favorite part of workshops, seeing how each person’s creation is so unique from the others. What a blast!! Also super impressed that everyone braved the arctic weather ❄️

Oh what JOY in all the people and details of this wedding! A delight to be part of, this couple asked us to design the wedding party personals and supply bulk flowers for DIY centerpieces. The palette for the personals was a sweet and classic combo of neutrals and pops of light purple, and then the reception got a rainbow of color! Ahhh the joy in all of the photos from this wedding! This couple wanted locally-grown blooms in whites, yellows, and greens and a lovely organic look. All of the flowers and foliage were grown on our farm and another local farm (). We designed the bouquets and boutonnières, and delivered buckets of farm-grown flowers that the bride and her friends and family transformed into gorgeous table centerpieces. Their vision came together so beautifully and we are obsessed with the tablescapes they created! 🌿

Yesterday was so much fun!! We taught 52 wonderful folks to make pumpkin flower arrangements at and it was a blast. We had such a beautiful October day at the vineyard, and brought so many lovely fall blooms. It was quite the event! Thanks again to for hosting us this weekend.🍷

While these aren’t professional photos and I’m sure those will look much nicer than my iPhone shots, we built this arch over the weekend and were super proud of it! Creating large installations is our #1 favorite part of weddings when our couples ask for them, and this one was so fun! We are committed to not using floral foam (bad for both the earth and the people using it) so this cutie was built with a combination of chicken wire and Agra Wool foam alternative as the mechanics to hold the flowers and foliage. We also used a lot of local and USA-grown flowers for this. 4 hours build from start to finish with the two of us and it was ready for the ceremony! What a blast to have such a fun statement piece for your guests to remember! ✨

This may be my favorite bridal bouquet I’ve ever had the pleasure of designing. planned the most gorgeous, intentional wedding with so many beautiful details. Our Story

Briarwood Flowers would love to fill your wedding day with flowers! We are totally crazy about our couples and believe that your wedding day is so important because it kicks off this wild, lifelong adventure called marriage. At the end of your wedding, if you said the “I do’s” and did the kissing, that’s all that really matters! BUT who doesn’t also love the opportunity to fill a day with gorgeous blooms, amiright? We source from our own field and from local growers whenever we can, and are here to make wedding flowers the easiest part of planning your day!

Briarwood Flowers, LLC was started in 2018 by Delaney Peterson and her amazing husband Brandon. Delaney caught the flower bug during an internship on a flower farm after college in 2013, where she learned about the fun and business of growing specialty cut flowers (and hanging out with farm cats and chickens). When Delaney and Brandon were first dating, they worked weekends together at a local flower farm in Wisconsin and figured out they made a pretty fabulous team. When the two got engaged, they decided to be totally wild and grow the bulk of their own wedding flowers. While the endeavor was a little nuts on top of all the other wedding-planning chaos, the result was a smashing success and propelled them to move forward with their dream of owning their own flower business!

Briarwood Flowers is named after the neighborhood where Delaney and her sister McKenna grew up, a nod to our roots (get it? roots?). These days, Delaney spends most of her time dreaming up whimsical, wild floral designs, chatting with the amazing clients that work with Briarwood Flowers for their weddings and events, starting more flower seeds than we ever have room for, and getting dirt permanently stuck under her fingernails out in the field. Brandon rocks the socks off of figuring out mechanics for cool installations, wrestling rocks out of the tiller when it gets stuck in the flower field, taking care of business operations, and crafting things for the farm and the business with his mad woodworking skills. Custom-built arches, anyone? McKenna, though she currently lives way too many states over, helps keep us on our social media game and spreads the flower love to the West Coast.
