📣🎵 We are SO excited to announce our live music act for Friday night at Motley Hue 2025: Alan Markley of Plastic Cannons. His music has rocked fusion floors around the world, and his song Aching has become a fusion classic!🔥

Incredibly talented, Alan Markley is a multi-instrumentalist, music director, producer, and composer based in Brooklyn, NY. He has toured all over the world and collaborated with a long and diverse list of musicians such as Lin-Manuel Miranda, Maggie Rogers, Ruth B., Max Martin, Jack Antonoff, and many more. In December, Alan returned from a sold out stadium tour opening for Billie Eilish with Nat and Alex Wolff and he is currently on Broadway playing synthesizers for Romeo and Juliet.

When Alan is not on the stage or in the studio supporting other artists, he writes, produces, and performs his own music. You can listen to his music anywhere you listen and you can follow his adventures, musical and otherwise on Instagram.

📣 Introducing the Fusion Performance Team! 🔥

At Motley Hue 2025, Mark Carpenter, along with Helena Molinski, will lead the very first Fusion Performance Team. This exciting opportunity allows you to dive deep into technique and styling under expert guidance.

Learning choreography is a fun and effective way to improve your technique! It gives you the opportunity to dive deep into a specific set of movements with a consistent group. By practicing the same material, you’ll develop stronger timing, tackle more complex sequences, and experiment with styling you might not have explored otherwise.

The 2025 Fusion Performance Team is open to anyone with a full pass! You’ll be paired with a partner at your skill level, so you can grow and improve together. You’re welcome to participate in the program without performing.

Just stopping by to say that registrations for Motley Hue 2025 are still going strong, and we hope you get to be a part of it this year too 💛💜

A week after opening and we have already sold more full passes than we even had available last year! There are 40 more full weekend passes left if you want to come and take classes with our fabulous instructors.

We have Mark Carpenter running the Fusion Performance Team with Helena Molinski.

Pomona Lake & Kenya Brown with their manifesto “fusion is jazz”, taking you into new dance ideas we have yet to see on the East Coast.

The Pearling Principle sharing their unique take on blending dances in artistic ways.

And of course, there are party passes available for you too, entrance into all three nights of dancing.

And an EXTRA special thank you to those who went above and beyond with a “Supporter” ticket. Your generosity not only helps us but also gives back to the community in a meaningful way. We are deeply grateful!

There are still low income/early bird tickets available for full passes for those who need them, and we are offering lots of opportunities for work/study. Both of these availabilities are first come, first served.

We also already have a few applications sent for the Exhale Fusion Retreat. Wow!

Introducing Exhale... an intimate fusion retreat of up to only 15 dancers lead by Flouer Evelyn & Pomona Lake that focuses on connecting to yourself and your body.

March 2-7, before Motley Hue NYC

Here, you’ll find the space, time, and guidance to explore your own organic way of moving. Inside partner dance connection, you’ll explore the dance of deep trust and inner strength, finding how to hold space for each other without losing the thread of your own movement.

You'll get 1:1 time with the instructors to really dive into your own personal way of moving, living in a big house with all your friends. Building connections and sharing free time together.

We’ll be focusing on opening our bodies with care, precision, and spaciousness, so that the daily six hours of movement in the classroom doesn’t feel overwhelming. As a dancer, you’ll grow leaps and bounds, finding new ways to let go of old patterns and integrate new ones, allowing you to be more subtle, supple, and sensitive. You will develop your ability to connect to both yourself and more partners on the dance floor.

Wow, what a weekend! Thank you everyone for the dance magic you helped to create. What a special way to come back together again. There were so many reunions, hugs, and epic connecting dances. What a joy to be a part of.
