Ducking up to Eora/sydney as .forrest celebrated 20 years of DJing at with a marathon six hour set that ended up being a very long SWEATY b2b, so here it is in all of its six hour glory.

Performing once again in one of our favourite spaces in Sydney, where the tiny club lifts the roof off time and time again, Sophie ran the gamut of her two decades of DJing, from breaks to psytrance to funk to disco and hip-hop.

This mix features many of the tunes we played at Tropical Fruits with some musical excursions that the crowd was not expecting at all; they heaved and went mad for it. I was sincerely so delighted by the response from everyone, each person was there in the moment, reacting to everything we played.

There were so many fun little moments, my favourite being a young woman who was an Underworld stan like me, so I asked her what tune to play and we agreed on Dark Train. For ten minutes we shared a lovely moment and she was overjoyed.

Thanks to Club 77 for having us and congrats to my gal Sophie for slinging a madcap, decade spanning set that left us all dying for more.

Back in the room, see you this weekend!

🍎🍏 Froots! It’s a New Year and we have yet another incredible artist to intro to you. is hot off performing Tropical Fruits and we could be happier to be seeing him play for our own Froots fam.

Nick Spurway builds his sets under the ethos of “less chin stroking, more dancing”, having no trouble flipping between thumping techno, high energy disco and pumping, swingy house within the hour. Nick established his reputation as a killer DJ in his early twenties, playing for numerous parties in Eora/ sydney along Oxford Street and deep in Marrickville warehouse party territory, cutting between pitch perfect, vinyl-only opening sets and late - night banging closers, before moving to Naarm/Melbourne in 2020 and expanding his output to throwing parties with Fur Coat, producing original tracks as Drama in the Sauna and hosting a monthly radio show on Radio Electronica Jena.

This time around Froot Market is in the city! Coming to Collingwood venue ‘QQQ ST PARK’ on Sunday 5th January 2-11pm. Our remaining $20 tickets are moving quick - get your and your friends’ tickets at the link in bio.

It’s our holiday episode and last show of 2024 so I thought I’d invite one of the first people to teach me DJing and playing at parties is Something Else head Dave Stuart. Dave and I have had long history together, it’s been a while between drinks so we chat about starting your career in your 30s, the motivations behind why you run a party and the attraction of vinyl DJing through “inconvenience and expense”.

Danielle Moore 1971-2024

Like a lot of you, I was devastated to hear of Danielle Moore's passing earlier this month.

Crazy P meant and mean a lot to me and are one of the 3 pillars that make up my DJing and music life. Danielle was an amazing talent, a soulful wonder and mischievous.

I can't process my grief sitting here, so I made a 90 minute megamix, of Crazy P through my journey with them, using only her vocal tunes and in chronological order from 2002-2022. In a poignant twist, my last radio show, one day after her passing, ended with their latest tune 'Any Signs of Love', a much more sad and surreal placement of that tune.
