Breast feeding is hard work on Its own, but Brandy has an especially touching story with her journey.
"My breastfeeding journey began when my son was almost 6 weeks old.
He was in the hospital for the first 3 weeks of his life, due to compactions at birth. I pumped for the first few weeks, and before we could bring our bundle of joy home we had a lot of test to go through.
I wasn't allowed to breastfeed in the hospital. I almost dried completely up and I was upset about it. I had to work hard to get my milk back when it came back, I started to nurse Max.
During the time I was not able to nurse him, I pumped and froze so he could still have breastmilk. Now, he is ten months old and we are still going strong. I love it. I even taught myself how to pump and how to breastfeed my son all on my own."

You can see here some of the selections I have in studio, from props, to wraps, and background colors. Can't wait to show you all the results!

I visited a family friends grave site today. He had served in the Navy for 20+ years before retiring here on Whidbey. I took a moment to walk along, admiring the work that volunteers had done, placing flags at every service members site. I picked up some flowers that the wind had knocked over. I read the names. I thanked them in my heart and prayers for their service.
Its so important to remember that today is not a "holiday" to many. Its not just a long weekend, an excuse to BBQ or go camping. Memorial Day is a day of rememberance, for those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country, and for our selves. Today we remember those who have served whom we have lost. We thank them. We honor them. We pray for their families. I hope you take a moment today, just to think of the reasons behind today.
