Speakeasy Bar Hire have a very professional friendly team of staff that are very experienced within the hospitality industry, we take pride in the work that we do and aim to provide you with a mobile service second to none. Our mobile bar on many occasions is free to hire* and is fully stocked with a wide range of products such as- draught lager and cider, bottled beers, cider and ales, soft drinks, mixers, wine and prosecco and a variety of premium spirits, we can also provide a cocktail bar on request.

Did you know….

During the prohibition in the US, Grape growers sold bricks of grape concentrate, they also contained a warning message which said

"After dissolving the brick fully in a gallon of water, do not place the liquid in a jug away in a cupboard for twenty days, because this will result in wine being produced which is illegal.

These were actually secret instructions rather than a warning.

During the prohibition people learned new smart ways to outsmart the authorities.

Well what a year it has been.

This year has been full of ups and downs for us but we made it through and have come out stronger than ever. Nothing can stop us 🤘.

I’m sure everyone has some amazing plans to see in the new year tonight and we hope you have an amazing night.

However, please stay safe, be sensible and take precautions.

New Year’s Eve is a time for enjoyment but it is also a time where people let their guards down. Some points to consider.

🥂If you leave your drink unattended, DO NOT pick it back up!! Get a new one, it’s not worth the risk.

🥂Don’t Go It Alone

Don’t plan to go out celebrating on your own. For safety purposes, you need some backup. Ask a friend or two to go with you because there is safety in numbers. You can watch each other’s backs and help each other out in case there are any problems.

🥂stay hydrated, have the occasional glass of water throughout the night to keep yourself hydrated.

🥂Moderation is Important

You may be tempted to over-celebrate and party hardy all night long. Keep in mind that moderation is extremely important. If you party too much, you may be putting yourself into a position of not being aware of your surroundings or in complete control of your own senses. Don’t overdo the partying so you can make sure you know what’s happening around you.

🥂Keep Your Phone On You At All Times

Make sure your phone is charged up before you go out. Keep it on you at all times in case you get into a situation that you need to get away from and you need to call in help.

🥂Pay Attention to Your Surroundings

No matter where you go or what you do, pay attention to your surroundings. Be aware of the people coming and going around and make sure you know your location.

🥂 DO NOT DRIVE!!

- [ ] The alcohol limit for drivers in England is as follows:
* 80mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood,
* 35mcg per 100ml of breath,
* Or, 107mg per 100ml of urine

The average adult will take around an hour to process each unit of alcohol. So the more you drink, the longer you have to wait.

There is nothing you can do to speed up the process.

So for an entire bottle of wine, it would take you 11 hours for the alcohol to leave your bloodstream - whether you have slept or not.

This means even tomorrow morning you may not be safe to drive.

Please keep yourselves safe and enjoy yourselves.
