Ahoy, San Francisco families on the hunt for free activities! This Tuesday, Union Square transforms into a pirate's paradise where your little buccaneers can set sail without leaving the city - join us!

Our colorful pirate crew will be roaming the square teaching secret parrot-speak, leading sea shanty singalongs, and creating sparkly sea-star wands that capture that famous SF Bay shimmer.

We'll be adventuring all around the square starting at 10am; just follow the sound of little pirates learning to say 'arrr'!

What non Easter, Easter traditions have you added to your family's basket? I told my kids there are Easter Faeries, and they love absolute chaos. I hid baskets of toys and hid in them in 'crazy' places (attached to the ceiling).

My best was when I asked friends to send pictures of Buzz Lightyear( if they had one) in random places. In SF, in a bathtub, in a desert...etc. I showed my son and I said Buzz was walking to our house.

Eventually, he 'made it', and right before he was found sticking out of a bush, I showed my son photos of him 'walking' down our driveway.

The face painting selection process: where we give children their first experience with decision paralysis. 😂 Twenty options, one tiny face, and approximately 5 minutes of very serious deliberation. Meanwhile, parents get to actually enjoy their coffee while we handle the tough negotiations. 😎

Are you taking a trip with your kids for spring break? Here is a fun hack I use for my own kids so they can pack themselves and save me a lot of time. I made this template and change the header image to match the trip we are taking, and then print it out for each kid.

The coolest part is that they save all the lists in a folder so each trip we take they get to look back at each one (and it helps them remember things they might have forgotten or wanted).

You have your own tactics on how to spot AI, but faeries have a unique skill to bring to the table: "Yeah, ok cool. But can she put that on while in her car and then do a magic show for 35 children in that? Didn't think so. Definitely AI."
