Update on Ellen Haynes

Thank you all for your continued prayers and support—praise God for His goodness! Ellen is now home and doing well as she navigates coordinating her medications. Her friend, Liz, remains in the ICU and has experienced some challenges with her anti-rejection medications affecting her blood pressure, but overall, she is doing well.

Liz is normally a very private person who doesn’t seek attention, but her incredible act of kindness through organ donation is truly inspiring. Her journey serves as a beautiful reminder of the life-changing impact one person can have on another. If you’ve ever considered becoming a donor, her story is a powerful testament to the difference it can make.

We received a wonderful update today—the nephrologists were just in, and they are thrilled with how well Liz’s new kidney is functioning. It was such a positive and joyful conversation, and you could feel their excitement in the room!

We are beyond grateful for your prayers, gifts, and kindness, and we truly appreciate each and every one of you for your unwavering support.

Please continue to keep them both in your thoughts and prayers as they continue their recovery. Thank you, and God bless!

Dear Bush’s Catering Family,

We wanted to take a moment to share an incredible story from one of our Meal Prep customers and ask for your prayers and positive support. Ellen Haynes has been on an amazing journey, working toward a life-changing goal—donating a kidney to someone in need. Along the way, they have shared their progress with us, from losing weight to getting the life-changing news that they are a match and ready for the transplant.

However, just before Christmas, they noticed an unusual spot on their arm. After an initial diagnosis and treatment, further tests revealed it to be skin cancer. Thankfully, the dermatologist believes it is the least invasive type and is optimistic that treatment won’t interfere with the transplant. Labs are currently being processed with urgency, and they are hopeful for good news soon.

As a business built on community and care, we are honored to have walked alongside them on this journey. Now, we ask you—our amazing customers—for your support in the form of prayers, positive thoughts, and encouragement during this time.

Your support means the world to us, and we know it will mean even more to someone who has worked so hard to give the gift of life to someone else. Thank you for being such a vital part of the Bush’s Catering family.
