Attention: Coaches interested in opportunities for Red/Orange players
Go-West Team tournament for u.9 Red and u.10 Orange players:
Invitation to enter teams! (Coaches are welcome to combine if there are not enough players and invitations teams are welcome)
We are hoping to have a fun day with players who know each other as that gives them confidence to try. Hopefully they will then be ready to also enter individually when the opportunity comes.
Date: Northern Suburbs: Saturday 4th of June
Southern Suburbs: Saturday 11th of June
(in case of rain on any of these days Saturday 18th of June)
Time: RED 11:30 – 13:30 (Boys and Girls mixed in teams)
ORANGE (half court with 2 matches per court) 8:00-11:15
Boys section and Girls section
Entry fee: R70 per player
Venue: Northern Suburbs
Entries close: Friday 27 May (NB The first 8 teams per category will be accepted)
To enter: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1vEWZATV_3IXNZ6L4Fz3Su2eCTwanZ4Hq92fNoS2lXjc
There are 6 players per team and the team will play against 3 teams.
RED: A player plays against two of the opposing team’s players, therefore 6 matches each.
There will be a team manager needed, but it can be a parent as the manager just needs to make sure the players are ready for the matches and knows where to go next.
Players keep score themselves (1,2,3 etc)
ORANGE: A player will play a singles match (half the court and shorter from the baseline) and a doubles match against each team. Thus 6 matches each.
There will be a team manager needed, but it can be a parent as the manager just needs to make sure the players are ready for the matches and know where to go next.
Players keep score themselves (15, 30, 40 etc) They may serve underhand.
Doubles just means 2 play against 2, all on the baseline.
We will send a video with the courts and scoring to be sure players know what to expect before the time.
We hope this will help you to give opportunities to your players.
