Workshops are slowly returning! I am excited and a tad nervous to be offering craft and art events again! What makes it even more exciting is getting to teach at the brand new Hello Maker DIY studio right in downtown London, ON. It's a gorgeous space, you will love it.

First up I'll be teaching a classic macrame wall hanging workshop!

In this 2 hour workshop you will learn the basics of macramé and create a beautiful wall hanging to give as a gift or hang in your home. I will guide you through creating the wall hanging as shown in the photos using foundational macrame knotting techniques. This workshop is geared towards beginners but there will also be an advanced option for the middle design of the wall hanging if you are up for an extra challenge (see photos).

Cotton Rope
Wooden Dowel
An evening of creativity and fun!

Details:

Date: Friday, March 31, 2023 from 7-9:00pm

Location: Hello Maker Studio (717 Richmond St - Suite 202) - enter building from Richmond St and follow ramp through the atrium to the elevator or stairs to the second floor.

Parking: There are some parking spaces available on Piccadilly St or behind the building in the paid lot. Use coupon code "CORE" in the HONK app to get 2-hours of free parking if using one of the city owned lots or street spots!

Extra info: Buy a ticket for a friend and bring some cash for a drink! Hello Maker Studio is a licensed event space which means you can purchase a can of beer, glass of wine or if you are like me, some sparkling water ;)

So excited to offer this workshop again! Indigo dyeing is one of my favourite creative activities! Join me for an afternoon of creative play on Sun June 26 from 1-4pm. This workshop will be held in my backyard under the beautiful shade of my black walnut tree. I will teach some Shibori folding techniques which are used in Indigo dyeing. The fabric you dye can be used in so many ways, quilts, sewing projects, mending etc!
