Homecoming !

It’s been 7 years since I’ve been back home and a lot has changed, from myself and the place I call home 🇺🇬 seeing my dad, my brother, Jiija (granny) and introducing my partner to them; coupled with playing at feels like two worlds colliding. 💓

The last time I was home I decided to push myself and pursue a career in music and I can’t believe how far I’ve come since then.

Thank you for booking me and thank you mum and dad for birthing a legend 🥇

Closing off tomorrows programming . Notion of sound is finally back after a brief hiatus. This month I’ll be testing out a new alias - DJ $YCLOPS. Who is DJ $YCLOPS? He is the alter ago I'll be using to channel my love for everything fast, hard and dark. Exploring the realms of Techno, Electro and ACIDDDDD….

In this show I’ll be taking you on a journey through the history of Techno; from its creation to the present day, paying tribute to Black and LGBTQ+ communities whom the music was created by and for. There are a lot of people and artists pushing the scene forward, but when white-washing becomes too rampant the community begins to lose sight of its core history.

This mix complies work of black artists from around the world, who have each made an impact on the Techno scene from the 1980s and onwards from Drexciya, DJ Bone, AceMo and TYGAPAW to name a few. As most

A lover of music not genres with sets span from Disco, House, Techno, Grime, Garage, Dubstep to Rap and beyond. His versatile approach to mixing means that his sets are always packed with energy and variety. You can catch him playing at his residency party Shakara at La cheetah, which has seen guest appearances from Kalita Records head honcho Chris Webb, Wheelman and Rebecca Vasmant.

As co-runner of Shakara, he’s embarked on starting a night that offers something sonically different from your occasional club nights putting more emphases on thought-provoking music you can boogie to. He’s supported the likes of Icarus and Groove Armada to name a few. He’s also part of G140, G140 a freshly created collective consisting of the Glasgow’s finest DJs KTAB (Kenyon Sound), DIJA, VAJ.Power (FUSE Glasgow), and DDS exploring 140bpm sounds. They’ve seen guest appearances from Sherelle, M.I.C and Kenyon Sound
