A few days ago Andy managed to get this hornets nest out of a tree on the farm. Hornets build their nests by chewing wood fiber into a pulp. If you look closely, which you don’t always get to do with a hornets nest; you can see all the layers of the different fibers. Nature is extraordinary.

I’ve been a bit quiet lately, no worries just finished up marching band season with our percussionist kiddo and completing chores neglected during busier times of the year. I’m planning out next year’s flower subscription details and will have them for purchase on the website soon. In the meantime make sure everyone takes a minute to appreciate the beauty that is November. The month that really is the doorway between Autumn and winter. Dormancy is part of the larger cycle of the seasons when everything takes a little nap to get ready for the next season of work, make sure to enjoy the holidays and maybe take a little nap too.
