America's Largest Murder Mystery Theatre Company

Back in June, Shopify along with VICE Media came to American Immersion Theater offices in Grand Rapids, Michigan to film our "curious business" for a new 12-part YouTube series. For those who do not know, American Immersion Theater created and owns a handful of businesses such as The Princess Party Co., The Superhero Experience, Famous For A Day, but it all started 17 years ago with The Murder Mystery Company. In this video, Alan Shane Lewis takes you behind the scenes as he interviews our CEO and Founder, Scott Mystery Cramton, checks out our sales center, tries on costumes. and attends a murder mystery show. A special glimpse of scene blocking from our show "Death of a Gangster." Each show does tend to be slightly different from the next, due to the script allowing for improv, but certain scenes, such as the apprehension of a suspect do require care and planning.

Founded by Michigan native and entrepreneur Scott Cramton, American Immersion Theater has been training actors and preparing them for successful performance careers for over a decade.
