we want a seat at your table.

for us - one of life’s little joys - is seating at a table with all our friends. either playing catan, eating asian food or solving life’s unsolved mysteries, community and friendship is very important to us.

because this is such a important part of our lives and who we are - we wanted to ask you if we can join your table too? this is were it all happens, we want to hear all about your story, maybe drink a glass of wine and leave as friends.

it is your story, and we would love to get a chance to tell it ( and to show you want we can bring to the table too )

we are mixing it up! taking art + romance and giving you films that are creative, intentional and elegantly playful.
we are setting a new table for secondluke ( with the help of our friends at )and we are lighting the candles and pouring the champers on the 1st of Oct.
we can’t wait! ✨

our new colour palette is inspired by Positano at sunset. the colourful buildings, the teracotta clay tiles and the lilac ocean when the sun fully rises. we love hoe it reminds us of warm, sunny days in italy.

chris and i spent two weeks on the amalfi coast for our honeymoon back in 2017. italy really holds a special place in our hearts.

we wanted to ‘rebrand’ for a long time now as secondluke has really grown and changed over the past few years. it is defintely not mine (nienie) anymore - but it has grown into a business that chris and i work equally hard at. we want secondluke to be an extension of who we are, as individuals as well as a family, but we also want our clients/friends to see that this business is not who defines us- but that it compliments the way we see and do life as a family as well. we want to invite our clients to sit at our table( to get to know us, what we love, how we do life) - and to leave as friends.we are planning and sharing lots of wedding, offcourse, but get ready for some art loving, food sharing, road trippin vibes in between.

the new and improved vibe on here is inspired by our love for italy, poetry, hand written notes, classical music and dinner with the besties.

we hope you like it!

dear past and future clients,

our lead time/delivery time for our film packages is 5- 6 months.

why you may ask?
firstly, our family of three is the most important then to us. we have seen/felt in the past that blurry boundaries can cause a lot of heartache. spending time with our son after work is priceless to us - and we have set our ‘business hours’ as any normal business would. we set these boundaries so we can balance work and life. we hope you can understand that.

secondly, catching up with postments also made our editing list longer. we also have A LOT of footage to go through after your wedding, we take our time to curate the perfect video for you perfect day and we do not like to rush this creative process.

thirdly, i ( nienie ) am the only one that edits. i really want to be a present wife and mother. i am firstly that, then i am a videographer.

lastly,
none of our videos look/feel the same. we do not use a template to edit from - from start to finish, we edit our creative films with the most love and care. making this a heirloom you can show to your kids/grandkids one day. we want your film to be uniquely yours. one of a kind!

we really love what we do and we do not compare ourselves to any other creative/videographer. we also respect and commend any creative that can edit/deliver in less time.

this timeframe is what works for us. ( and a lot of our videographer friends as well )
this timeframe helps us to send our clients the best possible film we can and to deliver quality.

we do this so you get what you paid for/and dreamed of and so we can also have family time like ‘normal’ people do.

also, please do not compare your photographer’s timeline to your videographer timeline. the process is not the same.

we never really share to much personal stuff on here - but we think this deserves a post on the gram.

chris and i celebrated our 5th anniversary with close friends in capetown recently, and we loved every singe moment. we were just reminded, how important it is to celebrate the small moments to.
we had a small vow renewal with close friends and went to eat at our favourite restuarant in cpt.

this is your reminder also to make your wedding day your own. do want you want, eat what you want and invite who you want. 🙌🏼✨
