Electric Soul Electric Soul curates Electronic Music events and festivals. Find all the information you need in a click and stop going through dozens of pages!

We discovered through our journey that we all struggle to find the proper information to go out. Our team is made up of people like you — lovers of electronic music. People who have spent many years attending electronic music events around the world. The thrill of discovering something new—that’s something that we want to foster. Nobody wants to get caught into the tunnel vision of ever-narrowing

music tastes. In connecting music lovers with DJs, event organisers, and club owners, we want to give back to the scene. We want to support local talent, to connect new up-and-coming voices with the places that they can be heard, and the people that are interested in listening. We want to provide for the scene to be more inclusive, regardless of gender, race, and sexual orientation—to be a place that celebrates plurality, and which embraces difference instead of rejects it. That’s what electronic music can offer, in creating spaces that unexpectedly bring people from all walks of life together—and if the connections that these spaces give rise to are sometimes too temporary, we want to find ways to make them lasting. The dance floor is, if nothing else, a place where connections are made.

“Around the year 2000 in Taiwan, those outdoor rave parties were leaving a mess. It was terrible. There were cigarette butts, cans of beer, bottles of water, you name it, everywhere. It was trash. And I noticed that during the festival, if me and my wife and a few others, didn’t let any cigarette butt remain on the floor for more than a few minutes. people started joining in. Then it became a sense of pride that after our events, it was perfect. If anything, it was better than when we left it.”

“Through the collaboration with .creative.records, I had learned about the environmental and philanthropic philosophy behind their music, which granted me the opportunity to do something for the society and the Earth, hence the idea of producing this concept album “Gaia in trouble”.
Our “Mother Earth” has been suffering from the serious destruction by its people, and it has reached an alarming stage. Therefore, as a member of the Earth, I hope to remind everyone again of the importance of caring for our Earth through my music.”

MIX 28 - Listen: https://bit.ly/3selOvZ

Growing up in New York City, DJ TYNEE ( Real name Elaine Shin ) had a strong passion for electronic music that became apparent by age 7; the year she became a proud owner of her first Ghetto Blaster. From that moment on, a lifelong love affair ignited, as she paired music with everything she did. Submerging herself in music earned her an abundance of music knowledge. From Miami Freestyle to the UK New Romantic sound, soulful House to the origins of Electro Breakbeat, she was constantly seeking the world for fascinating new music. DJ Tynee’s obsession with music and all its meticulous details were perhaps a sign of things to come.

DJ Tynee’s obsession with music and all its meticulous details was perhaps a sign of things to come.

Returning to Hong Kong, she was overwhelmed by the underground U.K. Progressive and Breakbeat club movement taking place at the time. This was a time when DJ heavyweights like Sasha and John Digweed first surfaced in Hong Kong. She got a chance to work with a major promoter who debuted international legends like Sven Vath, Deep Dish ( Dubfire and Sharem Jey), Carl Cox...

Fellsius’ five-song EP, Mesa, on Dome of Doom is a remarkable piece of work. Each song is distinctive for its integration of multiple genres into a chameleonic, shifting track–all in the space of a few minutes.

This begins with the first track, L, which begins with ambient electronica elements, before shifting in a harder direction toward glitch with sharp bass tones, and bringing the electronica elements back in.

As the title suggests, the second track, titled The Drum, is more DnB influenced in its opening, before shifting toward a club rhythm, with alterations in the bass.

The Sound of Ambient Rain with a Progressive Beat: NYORAI’s 雨の音

If the ideas that guide Nyorai's album 雨の音 (rain sound) are not the most uncommon, with the Japanese producer citing the philosophy of Zen as an influence, the album is an intriguing combination of progressive electronica with ambient.

The EP starts with Daydream which is a slower track, building up the energy with a sense of repetitive, beating rhythm, as if entering into meditation, and combining both harmony and dissonance.

新能祭 SYNERGY FESTIVAL, curated by Sonia Calico, was a two-day celebration of Taiwan’s mainstream and underground, bringing out a diverse line-up of Taiwan’s creative scenes.

Held in the first and fourth warehouse at the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, the event sought to inject the city center with the spirit and vibe of a warehouse party. A stage was set up in the first warehouse, alternating between live acts and a DJ set-up. The fourth warehouse focused primarily on a DJ set-up, with a booth set-up for individuals to try their hand out with DJ equipment, and a trampoline that some jumped on and others just rested on.

Fufu Records (𝗙𝘂𝗙𝘂 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 / FuFu Creative) continues its streak of strong, environmentally-conscious compilations with Double Happiness Vol. 5. Again bringing together a range of well-known, talented Asian producers to raise money for an environmental cause, this time proceeds from the album will be donated to Seven Clean Seas for plastic offsetting in the ocean.

Compared to previous installments of Double Happiness, the tracks seem to generally be longer, taking listeners on more involved journeys.

JIN06, from Yetsuby, is an impressive display of range for the Korean producer. The EP was released on Taipei-based label 禁 JIN in mid-February.

The first track, Bear Becomes the Human, is a fast-paced but controlled drum and bass track. Elements of reverb enter into the track and exit, as drum rhythms unwind. The result is a melodic, but also meditative sound.
