Oh, hello world! Sorry for being MIA for about 6 months! This has been one of the wildest years for me personally.

August our little business turned 8 years old! In this time we have been a part of so many special days- wedding, quinces, sweet sixteens, baby showers, and graduations. I have made friendships that I believe will last a lifetime.

As many of you know, I started a three year program last year, and I am now about halfway through. This has been a beautifully challenging time as I go through the Ordination process. My goal with every event is to give it the love and care and attention it deserves, and so we will be taking a break in 2025 and not taking on any new bookings. There are a couple standing annual events we will still be a part of, but for the most part, your girl will be digging deep and hitting the books.

I have some pictures of past events I’ll still share this year, and one more wedding on New Years Eve that is so close to my heart and I can’t wait to share this with you all!

Thank you so much for all of your love and support over these past 8 years! This isn’t goodbye forever, this is a pause and a shift into what we will be in the future!

6. Pick A Location: The location â€” city and venue â€” is the most significant decision you’ll make for your wedding, so it’s better to get this discussion started as soon as possible. All parties involved, ie. your partner’s family and yours, will have an opinion about where you should be married, so hear all sides, consider the season, theme and budget, and settle on a venue that works best for you and your guests.

Social justice causes have always been a part of my heart. Growing up the daughter of two immigrant parents and the daughter of a mom with mental health issues have taught me to advocate not just for myself, but for others as well.

The very first justice action I remember taking was in seventh grade. I made 1 million copies of PETA flyers and distributed to them all over my school. (Unfortunately, I had not yet learned about recycling and reducing lol but I guess we all start somewhere)

Back in March, we had our annual Architects of Justice event through that is hosted at my church ( ). I am so honored to have coordinated this event, but also feel lucky to be a part of multiple actions throughout the years with the incredible workers that I have met along the way.

Justice and community building is at the heart of all that we do here and we are excited for new ways to get to do that in the future! If you know of any non-profit groups who are needing help with their live events or fundraisers, please give them our contact! We are always looking for like-minded groups to work with.

Sign Up For Pinterest: Holy motherload of inspiration I honestly don’t know what brides did before Pinterest. It is hands-down the most intuitive and vast resource for inspiration; search and save photos of everything from your dream dress to DIY favors, florals, mouth-watering cakes and more.

There is however a HUGE disclaimer here: everything on Pinterest is gorgeous but often takes a big budget. If you’re on a tight budget (or just don’t care to drop thousands of dollars on a singular idea), that won’t make your wedding any less special or meaningful. Go in there for inspo and visuals and then talk to your planner about what can be done with your specific budget. That’s why hiring a pro is helpful- we have a wealth of knowledge and past experience to pull from and can help you bring your ideas to life!

Out of all the reasons in the world why it’s important to hire a professional, the most important to ME, is that our one and only goal is to make this big day perfect for *you two*.

I have been honored to make lots of special moments happen for my couples and those are the moments that live on forever in my memory, I have at least one with every single couple over the last 7 years of business.

Everything from talking people down from an almost panic attack, to coming up with ingenious ways to make a decor choice work, to private vows, to caring for relatives with additional medical needs, to special family moments and more.

What you’re hiring isn’t just someone to keep you on time, trust me, my very first event I was a family member and was asked to help in that way and I think I did a good job but it is oh SO different from what I (and my team!) do now as a professional 10+ years later.

You’re hiring years of experience, large networks to pull from, and people who genuinely love you and absolutely always have your best interest at heart and front of mind. 💛✨

4. Pick A Date: You’ll need to know the date or at the very least the season/month of your wedding before making many other important decisions (like picking your gown, theme, wedding party, etc). Also, this will be the first thing your Vendors ask for (along with the location) so it’s an absolute must to get this settled asap.
