Last night I got to DJ my final concert of 2024 - though I do still have a few upcoming club nights. ACTORS played an incredible set, my favorite show they've done; and Occults absolutely crushed their first ever live performance, the crowd was immediately hooked. Keep an eye out for The Distressed Setlist's concert videos!

I try to make it out to POSSESSOR at 715 Club whenever I can. The bar has that old-school goth dive vibe you just can't get anywhere else, and the DJs play a really great mix all night with classic horror movies on screens all over. It reminds me a lot of what Dark Tuesdays was in years past, so it's fitting that DJ Precious Blood invited me to spin again after Void+Veil was cancelled for the second time this year. PLEASE make sure to support these events when you can because they may vanish in a heartbeat.

I like the sleazy goth disco aesthetic that POSSESSOR tends to curate, so I leaned heavily into that tone during my sets. We closed out with an hour of 2-track back-to-back-to-back DJ rotations, which I won't list here because you can only experience that magic in person!

The first big snow of the season tends to be a rough hurdle to overcome, and we certainly could've had a lot more people at last night's show - but everyone put their entire being into it, and we still had a great time. Somehow in 9+ years we'd never done an anime theme at Outrun - Denver, but that has now been rectified! Big thanks to everyone who came and experienced a little slice of retro Tokyo with us on Saturday, we love seeing so many happy faces and dancing feet. Totentanz is an awesome goth night taking place a couple times a month at The Crypt in Denver. If you haven't checked it out yet, you really should! The vibe is amazing, and there's awesome food and drinks with lots of vegan options. I had done a guest spot for the night years back when it was still at Milk, so it felt both new and familiar at the same time - which is honestly pretty much the vibe of the night in general, as it's largely focused on the classic goth/industrial sound.
