Welcome to Love The Wire

My personal Etsy shop where I hand make hangers for the Brides, Bridesmaids, Flower Girls, Medical School Graduates and more!

I get asked all the time ‘How did you start making hangers?’ Well, at one point I had nearly ALL my girlfriends get married within two years and I was tired of giving silly kitchen utensils and boring gifts that I knew they wouldn't use. So I opened a bottle of wine, Youtube’d and Googled my night away and found tips and tricks of how to work with wire. After many trips to Michaels, Hobby Lobby and 50+ yards of wire trials later, I finally made my first hanger ‘official’ hanger gift for a co-worker’s sister! Both girls loved the hanger and kept asking me ‘Why aren’t you selling these somewhere, go get on QVC!’ After some deep research and reading up on plenty of blogs of what seemed like Etsy 101 for dummies, I took the fearful plunge and decided to start LoveTheWireCo. With plenty of supportive help from my Husband, we printed business cards, designed and created marketing designs and stocked up on aluminum wire, wood hangers, chiffon flowers, embellishments and all other decorative fixings to make my shop and hangers be the PERFECT gift. Long story short, here we are today with 150+ orders after the first year with $0 marketing dollars and it feels pretty, damn, great. And yes; I do open a fancy 2 buck chuck bottle of wine when I receive an order, its a dream gig come true!
