The Sunday Jr category was to be decided by Nazair Wallace, Jillian Kleinfelter, Shane Conner, Jackson Greiner, Braydon Hazzard, and Brycen Cornish.

Wallace topped Cornish, the 6-9 yr old winner with a better reaction time and safe 8 above run. Hazzard put down .034 total against Kleinfelter, ending her solid day. Conner put 5 hun in his pocket against Greiner and drove the finish line to a .015 margin and the win.

Conner couldn't get the car through the sticky track conditions and timed out to send Hazzard to the final while Wallace completed the bye run to meet him.

Hazzard, who missed Saturday because of a baseball tournament, made the most of his one shot, taking the win when Wallace left -.015. It was his first FRBR victory.

The final day of the Tire King LLC Coastal Clash left 6 drivers seeking the coverted FRBR hardware. They were Josh Phelps, Saige Embley, Tim Foskey, Ken Bosset, Jacob Bowie, and Jay Parrott.

Bosset, the 2022 Sunday winner took out Embley with a .002 initiated .027 pack. Phelps followed that pair with a .007 start and .025 total against Bowie. Foskey's lowly .009 two above run was good enough to turn away Parrot.

Foskey ended Bosset's back to back bid using a hundredth starting line advantage to be .026 total, locking out the Camaro. Josh Phelps took the free pass to the money round.

On a day Foskey didn't even want to buy back, he was not to be denied. His .014 gave him a nearly three hun advantage. He combined that with a dead 3 run to still get to the finish line first against a breaking out Phelps.

Sunday's Top Bulb action brought seven drivers to the table, all trying to write their name on the $10K check. The group included. Dale Crouch, Robbie Hamilton, Oral Chambers, Phil Truitt, Jake Knarr, Brian Riebert, and David Whitesell.

Whitesell took the first matchup over Crouch with a .024 package while Crouch couldn't cover the number. Hamilton's .031 total locked out Chambers reaction time by .005. Riebert used a .012 starting line margin to stay ahead by just .002 against the dragster of Truitt. Knarr ended the round with the solo.

Whitesell moved to the final past Knarr using an .010 light to gain a sizeable starting line advantage allowing him to run three over and win. Riebert took advantage of a rare miss by Hamilton taking his .053 total to the finals.

On a day Whitesell began with breakage first round, he benefited in the end from a wounded Riebert, who was -.025 in his ailing Mustang. It was Whitesell's first FRBR win and biggest away from his home track, MIR.

Saturday's Jr Dragster field was 46 strong with Blake Lecates-Truitt, Noah Dustin, Ella Ketterman, Alfonse Magliocco, Anthony Magliocco, and Shane Conner left in the quarterfinals.

Anthony Magliocco moved on when Conner turned it red. Lecates-Truitt, the last 8.90 car snuck past Alfonse, who got behind to be almost 6 above. Ketterman ended the round taking out Dustin, the 6-9 yr old winner with a clean pass.

In the semis, Lecates-Truitt won both ends of the race track matching a slight starting line edge with a much closer run to march to the final. Magliocco took the bye and held the chance to make it two races in a row.

In the final Magliocco overcame a five hundredths starting line hole but using just enough brake pedal to win a double breakout by just .007 and etching his name on the 2nd check of the weekend.

No-Box Saturday action found seven remaining in the quarters. Pete Bushnell, CJ Ketterer, Russ Archer, Michael Jefferson, and Jeffrey Santin joined Tommy Teague as the remaining double.

Bushnell, making the hike from New England drove his high flying Camaro past Teague, his .006 launch locking Teague out. Santin, on a Hayabusa, got past a red lighting Jefferson running .002 under at 133mph. Ketterer was dead 3 against Archer, but negated it with his -.001 light. Teague came back around and moved to the semis with the bye run.

Bushnell and Teague tangled again in the semis, with Bushnell again getting the win with a .048 pack. Santin claimed a .017 starting line advantage taking .015 at the finish line to be safe 2 and head to the final over Archer.

It was another red light final with Bushnell leaving -.007 giving the win to Santin, who was .024 and 1 above to become the first rider to ever score an FRBR victory.

Day 2 of the Tire King LLC Coastal Clash saw 159 entries whittle down to the final eight. They were Dalton Weltner, Marc Williams, Daryl Tillman, Bobby Weltner, Mark Mandley, Jame Diciacco, Billy Thomas, and Kyle Cultrera.

Dalton Weltner benefited from a Mandley red light. Thomas left .001 ahead of Williams and ran two above for the win as his opponent slowed. Tillman let go .004 quicker than Diciacco and ran dead four to punch his semi-final ticket. In the final pair Cultrera outdrove Bobby Weltner, feeding him two hun at the stripe to induce a breakout.

In the semis Tillman gave up the stripe as Weltner took .028 to break out just .004. Thomas took a hun advantage at the tree against Cultrera and held it for all 660 feet as both ended up 1 above.

The final was over early, as Tillman wasted a dead 1 run turning it -.003. Thomas began the celebration early, coasting into Victory Lane to collect the $10K check.
