It’s almost time for the Street Party & Parade, and we have been working on something really exciting.

👑 T H E A C T I V I T Y T R A I L 👑

The Coronation Activity Trail is a COMPLETELY FREE self guided tour of Children’s Activities within the event taking place on Sunday 7th May

Simply collect an Activity Map from the Love Letchworth Office or grab one from an event volunteer and head to a participating business to complete the activity, these vary from crafts, to crown hunts and are entirely FREE to all who take part.

Once finished you will get a sticker, simply complete 5 activities from those on offer and your children can get a Coronation Completion Certificate from the Love Letchworth offices 🤩

Ourselves at and our friends at are incredibly passionate about making an event that is inclusive for all, and therefore we are delighted to be able to offer a wide variety of FREE activities as part of this wonderful event.

Shop and Shake Bar is a 1986 leyland double decker bus! Having been retired from her bus route in London, Dotty had a make over and now the top deck now houses a fully stocked sweet shop! The bottom deck is home to a milkshake bar with over 30 milkshake flavours to choose from.

We are delighted that Dotty’s will be joining us this Sunday!

run weekly classes in all things circus from Hitchin Boys School on a Thursday evening. And they're inviting new members to come a long for a trial!

If you have a child from age 3-16 who would like to hang upside down, flip and climb up things then head to the circus zone to have a try out of the equipment and chat to their team to find out more about classes. 

They are a fully inclusive school and have an incredible squad who have performed at other awesome events such as Todd in the Hole, Move it! and even on BGT, so come and check them out at their performance on the main stage! THIS Sunday 🤩

We are delighted to finally be able to showcase the map for THIS Sundays STREET PARTY & PARADE. There really is enough to keep you entertained ALL day 🤩

Why not start by visiting our THREE Kids Zones, filled with incredible children’s activity providers, face painters, walkabout acts and performers 🧚‍♀️

From here head to the COMMUNITY MAIN STAGE showcasing a wonderful mix of local talent 🎤

Once you’re done, why not head to the LIVE MUSIC ZONE filled with local artists performing a mix of original material and acoustic covers ALL DAY 🎶

Then take a break whilst watching THE CORONATION PARADE at 1pm starting at the top of Leys Avenue 🔴⚪️🔵

From here you could grab a bite to eat from one of our fabulous street food vendors or pop in to visit a local cafe or restaurant 🍕

Then why not head to see the fantastic selection of trading stalls, selling locally sold and crafted treasures 💐

Once you’ve had lunch, take part in the Coronation FREE Activity Trail and pick up your completion certificate from the Love Letchworth Office 💚

Then visit the FUNFAIR and INFLATABLES 🤩

Phew……once you’ve done all this why not finish up with a picnic blanket in Howard Park whilst the kids let off steam in the PLAYGROUNDS and SPLASH PARK 💦

We are SO delighted to be hosting this fantastic celebration for such an iconic event right in the heart of our local community.

Academy is a street dance styles and lyrical school established for 15yrs and running classes in Hitchin, Stotfold and Letchworth.

They offer social classes for fitness and fun: competitive training sessions for those who wish to take part in National and International competitions, and Performance Squad training for those who want to be on that stage and representing BX out in the community at events.

BX dance has classes for 2.5yrs tots through to adults only sessions across the week and have many boys and girls currently training with us.

We are delighted that the BX dance elite show squad will be performing on the community stage this Sunday 🤩🤩

Imajica Theatre specialise in performance therapy and wellbeing, wanting all young people to have access to theatre and the performing arts.

They run weekly performing classes in Hitchin and Letchworth and offer 121 singing and musical theatre tuition.

You can visit their sensory garden in the wynd this Sunday and watch them as they perform on the Community Stage 🤩🤩

has been providing classes in singing, dance and drama for over 25yrs. They offer professional training in the performing arts for 4-18yrs. Not only do they offer outstanding classes but they give their students fantastic performance opportunities locally in professional theatres and also in large scale shows in the west end and even the Royal Albert Hall.

Theatretrain Hitchin runs from Hitchin Girls School Saturdays 9.30-12.30 and their sister school, Theatretrain Stevenage runs Saturdays 1.30pm-4.30pm at Marriotts School. Their classes are so successful they are planning to expand and open a Letchworth centre in September 🤩
