I just love how this turned out! 🤩 A dear friend asked me to re-envision this wall piece for her. I used sola flowers (crafted from the bark of the tapioca tree), dried flowers and grasses, and all kind of natural dried pods and cones. I love the texture and calming tones. 🥰 What do you think?

These were very fun to put together. Recognize the roses? All natural materials, with succulents to plant and a lantern to keep. These were ordered as gifts and Thanksgiving centerpieces. They’ll be able to keep the whole top in one way or another, and bake the pumpkin when finished enjoying for decor. Or just keep a few things and compost. Zero waste, good investment. ✨

I am so excited to be growing . I do a little dance with every bloom that pops up. I’m learning how to dry and save the most expensive spice in the world. For now it’s giving us enough to begin experimenting with. By next season I aim to add it to our budding spice shares.

This whole collection was an awesome burst to the senses. Thank you for trusting your uniqueness to me, Christina and Dylan. 🌻✨🥰

I’ve been helping my husband develop his/ our family jewelry line, so I have access to pretties and a some practice in creating. What do we think? Wrist corsage safely attached to a bracelet that you can keep?

Also shown are some of the bouquets I arranged for our local high school wrestlers senior night. Succulents felt like the move. 💚

Hi Flower friends! It feels like time to reintroduce myself, explain some things, and move into all that is new.

My name is Gina. I have been in the wedding industry for 17 years. You knew me here as Bohemian Bouquets for years. I stepped away from that name to try to align more authentically with myself. I can be boho, but that is not all.

I’ve flowered events in all 50 states and 7 countries. I’m not working this business plan anymore, but it needs to be mentioned because it was NO SMALL FEAT. I ‘retired’ with a 5 star rating that I worked INSANE hard to maintain.

Working out of balance made me weak. Stage 3 adrenal fatigue followed by a series of (mostly) self inflicted concussions. One big one, a bunch of follow up bumps. Impossible to continue, I was forced to get realistic with my limitations. You saw me fall away. You saw me keep trying to show up, sometimes. You saw the beautiful local work I was able to still participate in. You saw shining moments in a hard, but necessary time for me.

I consider myself healed. Four years later. Maybe always healing. I created something during this time to help myself, that will someday help others also. Currently top secret, but coming along soon.

My formal education is Interior Design. This meant that 100 years ago I knew how to hand draft and use AutoCAD. I spent this last year touching up on those skills. I was able to work with a landscaper and even did some design work for clients! I (painfully) learned new software, and even dusted off the old drafting board. I LOVE this and can’t wait to press into it more!

I also took my love of design to paper. I’ve been having a blast with graphic design, working on being able to take all of the ideas that live in my head, out to share. I’ve been working on the graphics for our new farm brand!

New farm brand! We are writing a farm and site plan for our biggest dreams. We just brought in some planning help to make sure we are well supported. We want this to be a perennial, regenerative ‘food forest’ that we add to each season. 🥰 Big dreams of beautiful produce and product. Stay tuned for pasta sauce and kiwi jelly!
Thank you for being here! Drop me a note.👇🏽

I think of them often.

The ones left behind.

The friends, neighbors, co-workers of before.

Whether the friendship formed from school, work, same age kids, or houses down the street.

I think of them.

A surge of grief washes over me.

For what was. For what is.

Some of the friendships were only out of necessity. That person you needed at the time.

Some where created from convenience. That next door neighbor.

Some never would have lasted. Some became more than you realized.

The relationships shifted. Ending or fading due to a move, job change, divorce.

Dynamics changing what bought us together and what brings us apart.

There are many that fall away. Ending without too much guilt or sadness. Maybe even with a little relief.

There are many that linger in the in-between. No longer daily or weekly connections. The effort to maintain slowly lessens. Life gets busy. New friends found.

We comment and like photos on social media. We randomly text to share an old photo and memory. We may even get together and share a meal and beer.

And it's different.

Making me realize I didn't do enough with them when I had them. I took them for granted.

It's those that hit me with sadness.

I miss them.

I love them.

I still call them my friends.

I pruned these branches from a favorite bendy tree. I went into a thankful zone as I placed my most loved dried flowers from this past season throughout the weave. I’m so thankful for renewable resources, and beautiful flowers that bloom and stay with us gracefully dried. I hung this in our front room to photograph and it made me love our space so much more. By the time I decided I wanted to keep it, my dear friend and creative partner, Tana, had it sold. and I are and we have a Pop up Shop group on Facebook. We posted a few things the other day and they sold to wonderful friends and supporters immediately. Most gigantic thank you for your support my people! Thank you Tana for your encouragement, input and support. ✨
