It's glamorized and highlighted as entertainment and yet necessary to exist. A good meal can change your energy level, physically and emotionally. A good meal shared with new folks, is a connection point. A good meal alone, is self-care. We crave the gathering for a meal for special occasions. The concept of Catering was created by a former slave in Philadelphia who recognized the power of the gathering for a meal.

I witnessed this power, making meals that made impressions on hearts, and began formally Catering in 2015. I inked this on my skin, because it leaked from my heart. And cooking for other does something to your heart. Today is the final vote to put 5 people in front of Carla Hall for Favorite Chef.
