Our first frost of fall happened last week! Snapped some photos before all the flowers turned brown.

Next up: pull out plants, plant flower bulbs and garlic, and get some salsa canned. Fall is a good time on the farm.

This was fun! Learned to braid garlic yesterday. It’s easier than it looks. Start with three garlic bulbs and braid in the others one at a time.

The braids look cool and are also a space saver which is key because we have A LOT of garlic this year.

Garlic takeover in the garage today! Did you know garlic needs to cure (hang and dry) for a few weeks before it’s sold and used? Harvested the first of our garlic today, made a fancy rack with a 2x4 and a few screws, tied together bunches of garlic bulbs, and got them hung up to cure. Can’t wait to make all the garlic things.

Behind the scenes at Princeton Farmers Market. Last week for this beautiful ranunculus. I have some produce as well. But not much because FULL DISCLOSURE - I am quite behind on weeding. 😂😬

Hope to get ahead of it this weekend and have more tasty radishes and salad mix for you next week.

First ranunculus bouquet in the books! Bear with me. I’m an amateur, but hopefully I’ll get the hang of it before the flowers are really going. 🤞 It is indeed harder than it looks.

I’ll have these bouquets at the Princeton Farmers Market tomorrow along with some salad greens. Come early as I’ll be packing up around 10:30am for family wedding events this weekend.

Dressed for December today while washing and packaging lettuce for the first farmers market of the year! Had to take breaks to warm up my fingers. 🥶

We’ll be at the Princeton Farmers Market from 8:30-1:00 tomorrow with lettuce and other salad greens along with some radishes! No flowers this week, but the ranunculus are about to pop. 👀 🌸
