Party pack price pickle!
So we got in a pickle with our prices but have landed finally somewhere that makes sense!
Trying to balance a cost that isn’t more expensive than single use stuff, but covers our outlay and a bit of our time took a while. Hope we’ve cracked it this time!
Everything is in multiples of 6 as there are 6 colours so it’s easier to count! 😂
Book a service on Facebook and we will confirm by messenger.

We can include cutlery for a small charge. I’m not going lie it’s very boring to count 😅

Huge shout out to Ellie who runs Brighton Reusable Party Pack

Ellie has been running this party hire pack for years. It's great value, loads of options, including washing up and delivery options!

It's been so lovely to have her support and advice as I set up Reuse-a-bowl.

Ellis has kindly taken over my orders as I've been ill most of january and unable to manage my orders.

Please give the page a like and a follow. Even if you don't need to hire a party kit it helps the algorithms and spread the word to help reduce the use of single use items.

Thanks Ellie!

Bright colours on a rainy day. Definitely used filters ⭐️🤣

Reuse-a-bowl is still here. Just no time to promote it. We have a steady stream of repeat folks which is brilliant.

Last weekend and next we have the whole 60 places settings going out. Thankfully without cutlery.

Please tag people and groups you think could benefit and share this post 🙂

We still need more uniform please - last couple of weeks to give so we can start putting together orders in July 🙏
Every Monday and Thursday across June we're collecting pre-loved school uniform that is in great condition to be given a new home. The school year is nearly up so please clear out those cupboards or ask your PTA to empty that shed and donate to local children. If you don't have uniform you can still donate to our campaign: https://www.pelicanparcels.org.uk/home/school-uniform/

Drop your good condition uniform to us at our warehouse, Unit 9 Industrial House, Conway Street, Hove, BN3 3LU. (this postcode will bring you to the car park). The entrance to the carpark is off either Ellen St or Fonthill Rd and then in the parking area there is a loading bay with yellow hatching markings by a blue door (next to Logo Sports and Hire4All - please don’t park in their spaces though!). There is a buzzer on the wall and we'll come down, but please be patient as we're on the 2nd floor so sometimes this takes a few minutes 🙂

Please share 🙏

The Flying Seagull Project

Reuse-a-bowl donate £1 from each hire to a charity. As there were limited hires for a long time during the pandemic we’ve included 2021 in with 2023.

We’ve donated £39 to the wonderful Flying Seagull Project.

It’s not much, but we are keen to spread word of what they do in the hope more people can support the vital work they do.

I’m sure you are also overwhelmed with the needs of your own family or community and that of the wider world, especially this week.

There are many ways to help people in need. This project fills me with hope and love in dark days and I urge you to follow them for bursts of uplifting promise ❤️

Thanks to all our customers for choosing reusable over single use.

If you have left over party things, from a party you have organised or your kids been to, please unload them to Reuse-a-bowl!

I am hoping to offer a service where people can reuse party bags, bag fillers and favours at their party when hiring a kit.

I may charge a tiny fee which helps go towards my time to manage all the tiny bits.

You can drop them at my home in Hollingdean anytime, without needing to arrange a mutual time.

I’ve been saving unused things from party bags we have received.

Doesn’t matter if there is only one of something.

Thanks!

Today was my first day back to ‘work’!

If you’re new here… Hi 👋 I’m Isabel.

In 2019 I started a spreadsheet which grew into the Party Kit Network 🥳

I’ve been on a sort of maternity leave since Nov 2021 but today I dropped my children off at school and nursery (the first day 😬) and took myself off to a very windy but sunny Southampton.

I am very fortunate to be taking part in the Accelerating Women’s Enterprise course by School for Social Entrepreneurs () together with .

It’s offering me the opportunity to really think about what the Party Kit Network should be and how I can turn my passion for our community and mission into my actual job.

It’s been hard to think of this as my job - despite developing the Network being a lot more challenging than any paid employment I’ve had in the past!

But I now realise that in order to really make the Network the best it can be I need to stand up and say yes, this is me. This is my job. I may not currently get paid for it and there is still a lot of challenges to tackle, but if we are to fulfil my hopes for the Network then I need to shift mindset.

There have been setbacks - but, as my husband often reminds me, we are trying to do something new.

We are trying to make sharing commonplace in a marketplace dominated by disposables.

We are trying to rebuild trust within our communities.

We are trying to create a world where resources are valued.

These are not small things.

But when introducing myself to the course group today, after I explained what we’d achieved already everyone clapped. It can be so easy to forget how far we have come. 🥰
