If you’re not having fun (or looking at each other like this) during your wedding photos you are doing it wrong! 🤍

But seriously, your portraits shouldn’t be a chore, but more time you get to spend with each other and your nearest and dearest.

Ways to liven up portraits...
1 - Pick a photographer you enjoy spending time with
2 - Location location location... don’t drag everyone all over the city. Stick to one or two options.
3 - Posing, you don’t have to be a statue. Again this goes back to 1. Pick a photographer who gets you and gives good direction.

Inspired by the Scandinavian concept of hygge, but with a modern twist. See how E and D’s wedding went from mood boards to reality.

This Nordic inspired aesthetic was brought to life with wintry, textural florals and lots of candles. A mix of natural linen, wood and velvet textures added warmth while cleaner lines, matte accents helped modernize the look and kept it from feeling kitschy.

The palette of ebony, harbor gray, polar white, clay, ochre yellow and stone blue kept it feeling wintry, without verging into holiday territory. ❄

A Night at the Museum... but make it elegant, romantic, and FUN! For a late summer wedding, sometimes striking that balance between cheerful, summery and black tie evening can be tricky.

For this, we leaned into lush, organic, yet composed florals with sesasonal elements, textures and lots of candles. A mix of natural linen and wood elements added warmth while clean lines and more modern shapes maintained that sophisticated effortless feel. The mix of brighter pops of yellow kept it fresh, but still evening with darker olive touches. 🤎

JOY! It is why we do what we do in this industry and truly what sustains us vendors during the busy season... and if I’m being honest in the world right now because the world definitely needs more joy right about now.

E and D just radiated joy and love throughout their entire day. The vendor team kept commenting about how clearly in just utter, head over heels love they were with each other. It was contagious and permeated every aspect of their wedding to their family and friends, the constant hugging and laughter as people arrived, the staccato of jovial chatter during dinner, and the raucous dance party that ensued.

As a vendor it also makes you want to work harder and contribute to that joy. If this post serves as anything, let it be a reminder to keep that joy and love at the forefront on your wedding day and just be in the moment!

POV: you ask us to design a wedding based on your love of wine bars, South American travels, and Cali farm to table vibes. 🍷 🌾

For A and B’s wedding we created a focal bar reminiscent of their favorite NYC wine bar with bar snacks, copper bar stools and organic wines. Mix that with Sonora dessert inspired florals and rocks and a crudite food station that wouldn’t quit!

Favors, welcome gifts, and guest gifting…. What’s the deal?

Favors… absolutely not. No one takes them. Put that the money instead towards late night snacks or upgraded alcohol.

Welcome gifts… this is more a maybe for us. If you have the budget they can be nice, but should not detract from more important guest experience elements (see our previous reel). We also love making these personalized to the couple or locale. Don’t just put in a granola bar and water.

The secret formula, something salty, something sweet, something to drink, and something personal plus ALWAYS a weekend details card to give your guest key info directly in their hands!

Serving up some Wes Anderson meets vintage NYC The Jane Hotel vibrant colorful vibes with this one, just posted on our blog. A and J came to us with these key words: energetic, eclectic, modern meets vintage.

We took that and built out a palette inspired by Wes Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel and pulled in touches of inspiration from the couple’s favorite NYC hotel, The Jane. Mixing vintage pieces and prints from with colorful ikebana inspired blooms by all in the historic space of the . A and J epitomized two of our key tenets of planning and design... make it yours and make if FUN!
