Hayley & David had a fun and ❤️ romantic ❤️wedding at the beautiful venue in Austin, TX. 🎊
The wedding soundtrack included a wide range of 80s, 90, 2Ks pop & rock love songs and dance hits. Once the party started guests were treated to everything from ABBA, Madonna, Billy Idol, Linkin Park, Pitbull, DJ Snake & Lil Jon, Daft Punk, Vengaboys and Tiesto. 🎶

Best decision ever
David was amazing! All of our guest loved him and thought he was amazing. There was never a moment the dance the floor was empty. He was a big asset on helping us with the timeline of the wedding. He was very professional, responded right away and listened and played exactly what we were looking for in a DJ. So thankful we were able to find him. If you’re still looking for a DJ, stop looking you have found him. Best decision we made. The DJ is what makes the wedding even more awesome and he definitely rocked it. Thank you again for making our wedding amazing.

Mayra & Matthew had a wonderful celebration with lots of dancing and great entertainment provided by our wedding pros. This party crowd enjoyed a wide mix of music including Country, Salsa, Merengue, Pop, Hip-Hop, Soca and Throwback classics (I even managed to sneak in “La Cucaracha” early in the evening). It’s always an honor to be a part of these magical moments.

Leah & Ryan’s wedding exceeded their expectations! Family and friends came together to plan an epic celebration 🎊 with beautiful decorations in a purple & grey theme, a balloon backdrop for their sweetheart table, a custom photo booth experience, and great food and music. 💫
The wedding playlist included a mix of party hits and guests were able to submit their favorite song requests on their phones via QR code. 🎶 You knew it was going to be party when the Grand Entrance song was “"Let's Get It Started" by the Black Eye Peas. 🎉

Great scenery, food, music courtesy of live saxophonist Vince Lonnell Greer and DJ Bambú.
Guests were entertained with a mix of classic throwbacks, R&B, Hip-Hop, Reggaeton and Cumbia. KatyGee did a fine job decorating the reception with a theme of lilac, lavender, sage, cream and gold.
Everything came together beautifully for a day of lasting memories!

My Story
My name is David Garcia (aka DJ Bambú). I am a Christian, husband, father and music “aficionado”. My love for music began in elementary school band where I became proficient in several musical instruments and had the opportunity to perform in front of crowds of all sizes.
Born and raised in "The Bronx" New York, I started DJing in the mid-80’s and quickly fell in love with the art of making people dance. Growing up in such a “melting pot” of cultures I was exposed to many different musical genres and styles which has contributed to my success today. Through the years I have provided services for many formal events such as weddings, anniversaries, sweet sixteens, corporate functions as well as rocking school dances and private parties. As a Christian and father I always do my best to play clean, edited and appropriate music for your special event.
I believe in providing you with the same level of service, attention to detail and perfection as I would expect for myself.
So what does DJ Bambú mean?
The name has its origin in the bamboo tree. One of the most impressive things about bamboo in the forest is how they sway with even the slightest breeze. The gentle movement is a symbol of humility. Their bodies are hard and firm and yet sway gently in the breeze while their trunks stay rooted firmly in the ground. Their foundation is solid even though they move with the wind, never fighting against it.
Being flexible (having a "bend-but-don't-break" attitude) is one of the secrets to success whether we're talking about bamboo trees, DJing or just dealing with everyday life.
Finally, Bambú is the Spanish translation for bamboo which I use to identify with my Latino heritage.
