Little story of me as a foreigner at Rungis - During fashion week I was buying smoke tree at a vendor I’d never been before, I paid and told them in French to write ‘opm’, and I will come back to pick up later. They said ok. When I returned I see they draw an ‘Asian’ face on the paper wrapping all the flowers I bought… (swipe to the last slide) I mean it’s kinda funny… but… wow, just wow…

Marked my full 2 years in Paris on April 1st. Sounds like a joke. At the beginning I thought here it’s just a one year thing, as I go with the flow - with flowers, they take me to places I never thought I would be. I’m not a social person, so I think that makes me really hard to know more people. In Chinese we said 花若盛開，蝴蝶自來 ; “When the flowers bloom, the butterflies come naturally.” I do believe that. 🦋

After selling zero flowers today, felt really happy to hear a lady sitting across of me saying the bouquet I was holding was beautiful. I asked if she would like to have it? She kept saying ‘thank you, thank you, thank you!’ The smiles on her face made my whole day brighter.

Doing open studio this kind of thing is really not me, I walked out of my comfort zone to do it, hoping to meet some new people - even just a few.

I know the weather is s**t, but I will be here tomorrow, also next week, for you. (I don’t know how to invite people individually, so this is my invitation to each of you.) 🧡

🖤Hello everyone ! I never really introduce myself here, I’m Shiang.

As you might know, I’m a florist, I’ve based in Paris for a year and a half now, this journey has not been easy but I keep trying, hopefully step by step more people will see my works.

I now have a studio in 20e arrondissement, it’s small and definitely not a fancy place, but my goal is to have a base to create, which is my baby step in Paris.

I will be having open studio on every Friday (2pm-7pm), Saturday & Sunday (1pm-7pm) in DECEMBER.

If you have been following me and would like to meet and get to know me in person / talk about flowers etc., or just want to get a bouquet -that would be so cool, I would love to meet you here at my new studio in Paris. (Address link in bio !!!)
