Today I photographed a family who lost a family member who was someone's dad, husband and son. They had planned this vacation together and had come from Helene's path in Greenville. They wanted to release butterflies in his honor. I went to meet them on the beach at noon today.
When I spoke to them to plan the shoot I mentioned that the first anniversary of my dad’s death was just a few days ago and how honored I would be to do these. I knew the feeling so well.
Yall..... These sweet people brought me extra butterflies to release in his honor. I cried a bit! One of the ladies took my picture while I did it. I had no idea I was going to get my photo taken so this is barefaced me shooting at noon on the beach. These strangers just became framily. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!
