my Aw discovered her calling after planning her sister’s wedding in 2005, from which Sugar & Spice was born. Wedding planning was always her cup of tea, however, these days - she creates and coordinates all events with the same attention to detail, tenacity and pizzazz, as if it was her own family affair. Sugar & Spice is proud to be on the recommended supplier list of some of the top wedding vendors in the country, which re-enforces our reputation in the industry. After a heartfelt morning of traditions, Ruby & Kwok Yau continued their celebration with an elegant banquet at one of Penang’s renowned Chinese restaurants. They made a grand entrance, walking down the aisle with friends popping confetti, setting the tone for a night filled with joy and laughter.

The evening was nothing short of spectacular—a sumptuous Chinese course dinner, heartfelt speeches, endless toasts, and a champagne pop to seal the night. Surrounded by family and friends, they laughed, cheered, and celebrated love in its purest form.

From the mouthwatering food and refreshing drinks to the incredible music that set the perfect vibe, everyone was having the best time. 🎶 Heartfelt speeches were made, Dick cut his cake surrounded by loved ones, and the laughter never stopped.

For Dick’s 80th, we turned his huge backyard into a tropical paradise, transforming the entire space into something truly magical. It took us almost a week, but the end result was worth every second.

Gate crashing is a lively, time-honored Chinese wedding tradition that adds excitement and fun to the day! 🚗🎉 It begins with the groom and his entourage arriving at the bride’s home, only to be met with playful challenges from the bridesmaids before he can “win” his bride.

For Kelly and Sian, this meant a convoy of honking cars, laughter, and plenty of ang pows to get past the bridal party’s games. The tradition symbolizes the groom’s commitment and perseverance to reach his bride, showing he’s willing to go the distance (and then some!) for love. 💌

The night was full of surprises, including a vibrant flash mob where the entire family joined in, creating an electrifying atmosphere. 💃🕺 After all the excitement, Zoe and Lyman shared a sweet dance together, surrounded by smiles and joyful cheers.

As if that wasn’t enough, guests were treated to a delightful "apom balik" stall, serving up delicious Penang hawker-style pancakes for supper. It was a perfect end to a magical evening! 🍽️
