Last art stroll of the year!!
Come out to see and my fellow members of the Whittier Photographers Society (representing the ) at the in Uptown Whittier from 5-9pm TONIGHT 11/10. Eat/drink/ listen to the music and buy some art for your holiday shopping gift ideas.

We will be in the back garden area. Come and say hi and check out my images on sale including my 2018 First Place image (Your Blue Room) of the famous Nixon Bldg. and my 2021 First Place image (Copper Top) of the famous Greenway trail bridge.

The brand new hotographers November / Fall show at the Whittier Art Gallery is starting TODAY !! Nov 3rd and running through Nov 13th **
(See attached flyer image and contest info attached)

There will be 13 local photographers participating (including SJS Photography) and 100+ framed images on display and for sale in the show. There will also be unframed/matted images of all sizes and note cards for sale. Come out and support the local artists. See the special group installation of an iconic Whittier landmark also on display.

SJS Photography is doing a contest to give away ONE FREE 8x12 print (if you follow the rules on the contest image and attend the show in person).


It's a very short show (9 actual days) so we want to try and get as many folks out to see it as we can before it ends.

Be sure to tell your friends and family members who are interested in photography and art. If they are going to be in the local Whittier area any time during those days, please stop by. Art makes great gifts as well.

No reception but safe sealed individual snacks/drinks will be available thru the show.

I hope some of you can make it out. If you'd like to setup a 'Meet the Artist", send me a private message, call or email me and we can set up a time/day that works.

Great seeing so many folks out and about at today's Whittier Uptown Art Stroll. It was busy and nonstop folks checking out all our great art and taking with us. Sold a few items and got to chat with my good photo friends that I haven't seenn in ages. Good times.

I am truly honored to have won FIRST PLACE in this years 'Quarantine Creations' art gallery show in the Photography Category at the Whittier Art Gallery. It's great to also see two of my good photography friends (Deanna and Richard) in the top 4 award winners. Sad to not see my good friend Louis Rico in this show. This is my second First Place award, with my 2018 image of "Your Blue Room" also taking first in the 'One Week in Whittier' event. Amazing art on display at the Whittier Art Gallery unti;l 7/17/21 so be sure to check it out.

Been SUPER busy this past week getting 8 of my images final edited, printed, matted and framed up for the upcoming "Quarantine Creations" gallery show at the Whittier Art Gallery starting this Friday 5/28/21 and running thru 7/18/21. Dropped them off this past Sat and Sun and now we wait. Looking forward to the show. Its the most images I've had in one show. Images and video and info coming soon....stay tuned.
