NEW LOGO WHO DIS 🤘🏼

It was designed by the tattoo artist responsible for most of my work, my first spooky bride, and the only person I know who can pull off the look of a vampire queen one day and a cowgirl the next (and look like an actual goddess either way) - the one and only .artem 😍

The formatting - the part I have zero concept of that makes me want to throw my computer into the street - was done by my dear cousin 🖤 Thanks to her hard work, we have our first round of merch on the way!!! 🤩

This branding overhaul was put into motion long before the shop was ever considered, thanks to two wedding professionals and friends who saw through my inauthentic branding to my true self and told me separately within about 2 weeks of each other that I needed to rebrand. Thank you .freckled.heron and for being true friends and giving me the push!

The very same week I made the decision to rebrand, a couple inquired about the type of wedding I used to daydream about - reached out on behalf of and for one of my all-time favorite weddings of my entire career, and this amazing couple trusted me to bring their vision to life 🥹

Living and showing up authentically in both my personal life and professional career has been so rewarding already, and we’re barely getting started! Curating the shop and rebranding to match my true self allows people who have a similar vibe to find me so that we can collaborate in epic ways that make us all happy. Connecting with people who get me is so validating, and now that I’m putting myself out there in an intentional way, my people are finding me 🤗

Ribbon Cutting TODAY at 2 pm! The entire town of Canton has been so incredibly welcoming to us, and we are thrilled to be a part of this wonderful community! We will probably have the door unlocked a little bit before the ribbon cutting and for a little bit after as a soft opening before Saturday.

We’re also debuting our new logo in person only, so if you want to see the new logo designed by .artem (who is responsible for most of my tattoos), you will need to attend one or both events for a sneak peek 😎

The reading nook is one of my favorite parts of the shop. We’ve made it cozy with some cool furniture and artwork, books to read while you hang out, and plants that make it feel like you’re in a very safe jungle 🌿

I brought some of my college textbooks, my collection of classics in paperback, all of my flower books, and a few others from home to be enjoyed. Bring your headphones and stay awhile 📚

And one of the first things I bought for resale as soon as I signed the lease was several copies of The Alchemist, my favorite book that had a profound impact on me when I first read it in high school (thank you Mr. Forrister)! Every time I read it, I discover a new nugget of wisdom or understand it on a deeper level. It’s truly a beautiful and wonderful thing to realize your Personal Legend, so it felt only right to have it on hand in the shop. One of my personal copies is in the bookcase, and I have several new copies in paperback and hardback for sale (these would make a great gift for a graduate, now that I’m thinking about it!). They’re also the 25th anniversary edition 🧡

Hi flower friends!!! 🤗 We’re going to be working like crazy in between June weddings to get the shop ready for our Grand Opening in a few short weeks, and we hope to see you there!

Our ribbon cutting will be Friday, 6/21 at 2 pm, and our Grand Opening will be Saturday, 6/22 from 10 am to 4 pm. There will be flowers galore along with refreshments (while supplies last) at the Grand Opening!

Shoutout to for this ✨incredible✨ branding session, and for making an exception for me and editing darker than usual to match the vibe! 🥹

And shoutout to | for doing literally 95% of the moving in and the constant rearranging, especially the 6 years worth of inventory and large pieces of furniture!

We are so beyond thrilled to be opening our doors in the most wonderful and welcoming little town of Canton, and the shop already feels like home. We’ve created a lovely consultation area, a cozy reading nook, and our last couple of things to do are the coffee/tea station, “garden center” for our plants, and finish getting in all our local merchandise!

Official announcement time!!!

I am absolutely beyond thrilled to announce that Wildwood Flower Shop will be opening in June! The shop is located at 392 Main Street in downtown Canton (across the street from Papertown Coffee and Southern Porch, two doors down from Jro’s, and a dangerously short walk to Three Compas).

Due to peak wedding season, we’re pausing most orders until the shop is officially open, with the exception of pickups at the shop by appointment. May is our busiest month for weddings this year except for October, so we’re waiting until the peak wedding season slows down before opening so that we can provide the stellar customer experience that we’ve always dreamed of providing!

I would not be where I am today without the support of my husband and my bestie .freckled.heron and I owe them so much for their help in running the business but also in life in general! I will never be able to thank them enough for all that they do.

We have had the warmest welcome from other business owners on Main Street and also from random passersby. I had forgotten how wonderful small towns can be, and I am so thankful for the kindness we’ve been shown by *literally* everyone!

We’ll keep the updates coming, so keep your eyes on the story for a possible soft opening or specific walk in hours! You’ll definitely know us by the Haunted Mansion inspired display window 🖤

Introducing our new accent wall and neon sign for photographing our arrangements - rain or shine! I love the natural light outside, but trying to frame an arrangement in my phone with my right hand while holding the vase up against the exterior wall of the garage with my left hand is not a good time, especially if it’s a larger or particularly wild design! Plus it only works if it’s not raining and not dark. So hello fun photography wall!

Bonus - the sign changes color, so I can switch it to whatever the color of my arrangement is 🤩

Thanks so much to my husband for painting the wall as well as finagling with the lighting! This is an iPhone photo before we had it just right, but he has captured some amazing photos that I’ll be posting later (I’m just really excited about it). It’s so nice to have an in-house photographer who understands lighting 🥹

Happy First Anniversary to 🤍 This remains my all-time favorite winter wedding!

wanted her florals to reflect the colors that are naturally occurring during January - earthy browns, sky blues, snowy whites, and muted greens. Rather than lean into the white and evergreen that’s common (and, of course, beautiful in its own right) at this time of year, we took inspiration from what you would see if you looked outside your window right now.

Taking inspiration from Nature in its current season is straight up good for the soul, and lends unmatched authenticity to your event. Winter weddings are becoming more popular, and for good reason! With the right considerations for the weather, a winter wedding celebration warms the hearts of your guests and vendors alike, and gives everyone something to look forward to in a season that tends to seem a little bleak after the holidays.

I’m working on posting weddings, and since we’re heading to today for our first wedding of the year, I thought I’d go ahead and post a couple quick photos of our last Parker Mill wedding of 2023 🤗

Please allow me to gush about flowers for a minute 😍

Autumn bouquets are so much fun to design thanks to so many unique textures and colors! It is truly one of my favorite times of year to design because of the vibrancy of the leaves and the last hurrah for locally sourced flowers.

The 3 MVP rose varieties I’ve used this season for their spectacular colors are Cafe Del Mar (chocolate outer petals that lighten into deep terracotta in the middle), Cherry Brandy (cherry outer petals with golden brandy in the middle), and Barista (vibrant mauve with terracotta undertones if you squint).

Other flowers I’ve used to round out these lush fall palettes have been chocolate, burgundy, and purple ranunculus, brown and black pearl lisianthus (my favorite cut flower but in moody colors!), and Carpe Diem and Cinnamon roses, which bring in lovely peach shades to soften some of the warmer tones.

And you can never go wrong with the OGs - Playa Blanca and Quicksand. Both of these roses have perfect colors and absolutely stunning shapes! 🤍

We have been so fortunate to work with so many absolutely sweet, genuine, wonderful couples so far this fall season, and we are so grateful! Thank you to all of the amazing brides and grooms who have made our job so rewarding, for giving the best hugs (no one gives a hug like a happy bride at the reception), and for allowing us to create something beautiful for your special day. We truly love this profession and love working with so many fantastic people!

(Also, shout out to all my former brides and grooms who still follow my general shenanigans and goings-on and still interact with me here. Y’all don’t know how honored I feel that you take the time to look at my stories or like my posts even though your wedding was literal years ago!)

For those of you who don’t already know her, this is Sam, my right hand person and floral designer extraordinaire! She’s absolutely fantabulous, and one of the most talented artists I know - and when I say artist, I mean artist! She paints, farms, bakes, crafts, writes, and more. She keeps me laughing, keeps me motivated, and helps me get through busy wedding seasons with my sanity intact and more sleep than I’ve had in 4 years!

She’s returning from her travels to California tomorrow, and I’ll be so happy to have her back in the studio with me!!! She is also Heidi’s favorite person, and Heidi shepherds her car every time she pulls into the driveway, so that makes 2 of us very happy for her return!

This is the largest bouquet I have ever designed in my life 😳 But I felt like I had to go big for this branding session! There’s no reason not to when I have total creative freedom and need to capture the essence of my business and personality. Textures, greenery, and bright colors are my favorite 💐💖🌿

I think it’s been about 2 years or so since I’ve done one of those “let me reintroduce myself” posts, so here we go!

My name is Victoria, my husband’s name is Aaron, my dog’s name is Heidi, and all 3 of us are August Leos.

I decided to become a florist after designing our wedding flowers in May 2019 (I had a blast, but I don’t recommend it for most people!).

I have a BA in French from UNCA which I only use when we travel to France, but it definitely helps us get around with ease!

Our other pets are a bearded dragon named Pancake, a curly hair tarantula and jumping spider, and a very large snail that Aaron found while we were setting up at an outdoor wedding. We really want a raccoon and a crow.

I describe my aesthetic as 50% cottagecore, 50% goth/emo/metalhead. I just figured out literally yesterday that the reason it took me so long to figure out my true style is because I spent so many years wearing uniforms for previous jobs. Once I started my own business, I realized that I can dress however I choose and took the time to really analyze what makes me the happiest. Living authentically is so freeing - 10/10 would recommend!

My favorite bands/musicians are Def Leppard, My Chemical Romance, Falling in Reverse, Eminem, Ice Nine Kills, and Iron Maiden.

I’m a huge nerd and can talk fantasy lore for hours. I also have ADHD, so it’s usually the scenic route to get to the point since my brain distracts itself mid-thought. I also talk ridiculously fast.

My favorite flower is lisianthus, which I have tattooed in multiple places on my arm. I currently have 11 tattoos, with more on the books.

My favorite colors are purple and black, and my current favorite drink is an iced lavender oat milk matcha.

I had a difficult tussle with imposter syndrome when I purchased my first truly new car ever - Magnolia is a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee and she is the best purchase I’ve ever made in my life. Four wheel drive, AC that works, power windows, towing capacity, and 5 seats plus a trunk has made my life infinitely better!

To say that I’m grateful for this branding session is a woeful understatement. Tiffany McFalls Photography is a branding photographer extraordinaire and I truly can’t express how perfectly she captured everything. She is also a supremely beautiful soul and dear friend, and one of the kindest people I have the pleasure to know 💗

And a huge shoutout (and introduction if you don’t know her already) to my right hand person, Sam, for making this wedding season the most successful one yet! Not only is she an amazingly talented floral designer and all-around fantastic artist, but she also chooses to drive from her house in Flat Rock to my house in Candler, which is a 45 minute drive on I-26 *without* traffic. And we all know how much traffic is on I-26. So if that doesn’t make her the MVP of all MVPs, I don’t know what does 😂 She’s a saint!

It goes without saying but I’m going to say it anyways, that I’m also so grateful for the couples and their families who have trusted me with such an important part of their wedding day, and for all of my hard-working fellow vendors who work together to create wedding day magic!

And if you’re reading this, I’m also thankful for your follower-ship in this wild world of social media!

Being able to provide gorgeous flowers for all of life’s ups and downs is the most incredible career, and I am constantly steeped in gratitude that this is actually my real life. It’s hard work, but it’s so, so worth every finger prick of a thorn, every twinge and ache, and every lost hour of sleep 💐
