It’s c.o.l.d here on the east coast, which has me thinking of the beautiful and sunny French Rivera where we have one of the most iconic venues on the sea, Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild.
Steeped in romantic historical past (as many a villa was a gift from a partner or suitor during this time) is still as beautiful today as it was back in it’s prime.
With its pink-hued façade, lush gardens inspired by Versailles, and panoramic views of the Mediterranean, it’s no wonder this villa is one of the most sought-after wedding venues in France.
Fun fact: did you know it’s original paint color was yellow!?

The end of 2024 was a whirlwind from travels and our last event of the year, time just flew by! With lots of personal changes in the mix, 2025 is definitely going to be the start of an adventurous future!

✨How much is your dream destination wedding actually going to cost? ✨
Now that you have your non-negotiables it’s time to start mapping out your budget and looking at the numbers.
Factoring in the current prices of venues on The French Riviera and Provence, at the absolute minimum I recommend a budget of 1,500 euros per person, with an average of 2,500 euros per person as an average budget baseline. This would mean that if you are thinking of a guest amount of 100 people, expect to have a minimum budget of 150k euros.
So how should you break down your budget? Let’s take a look at some of the numbers:

- Venue: 30-35%
- Florals & Decor: 20-25%
- Catering: 15-20%
- Photography: 8-10%
- Videography: 8 - 10%
- Entertainment: 5%
- Stationary: 2-3%
Now of course these numbers are not set in stone and there are also other vendors to factor in such as Beauty, AV/Lighting and yes, Wedding Planning and Design fees, but this is a good foundation to start building out your destination wedding budget.
