Special requests… we take them!

Joanna & Jacob requested a HUGE amount of family photos.. (that list - I won’t say I wasn’t stressed!) however what else was mentioned?

“We don’t mind if the official family photos time cuts in to the couple portraits time, those images are more important to us to capture on the day”

From that moment on I knew that their celebration was going to be a family focused celebration, what I didn’t realise was just how incredibly beautiful they were going to be (especially both of their beautiful mums), and just how ecstatically happy they both were for the pair and how they just oozed love and celebration for the two of them in every single moment of the day.

From placing the veil with hesitation and nerves, looking on through happy tears throughout the ceremony, the incredibly happy congratulations moment following their vows, signing of the certificates, and throwing of the confetti, and the excitable yell “I have a daughter!”!

These gorgeous women celebrated their gorgeous Joanna & Jacob and their official joining of their families for life in every way they could, and with the largest of smiles. All. Day. Long.

Also.. those speeches.. tears..

You can tell J & J have been brought up with so much love and respect just in the way they both look at each other.

Are these ‘perfect’ wedding shots…?

In short. No.

But do they capture an exact moment in time on Jacob & Joanna’s beautiful wedding day? Yes. Absolutely yes.

So in a way they kind of really are..

1. We carved out some time in the wedding day schedule to do some couple portraits for Jacob & Jo down at a lookout so they could have some time to themselves before returning to the party they started, and when we arrived at the rocks, the wind was NEXT LEVEL.

Jacob had to hang on to Jo’s veil so it didn’t fly off into the valley, and I ended up removing it altogether and wrapping it around a tree so that we could continue for another few minutes without the threat of it flying away...

2. The second shot is classic wedding party energy. These three girls were literally squealing at the sight of Jacob all handsome in his suit, guests arriving dressed up and gathering, and the anticipation of walking their beautiful friend and sister Jo down the aisle towards the love of her life.

Jo wasn’t allowed a peek, but the way they described the scene outside for her was so beautiful and they were all brimming with excitement.

A very special little snapshot into the wedding morning ‘behind the scenes’ that I’m so honoured to be able to witness and capture for couples on a regular basis… ✨

Both images captured documentary style, which I love to shoot, in amongst the more stylised couple portraits which are often seen here on our instagram. A mixture of these I feel is the perfect balance for a wedding day when we truely have to be ready to capture everything at a moments notice, and also want you to enjoy your wedding day and have some gorgeous photos of you two to remember it by as well.

These two loves married yesterday on what can only be described as an absolute love fest. It is always an absolute pleasure when two beautiful families are so thrilled for the couple creating their new family unit, and this was certainly the case yesterday for these two childhood sweethearts.

The wedding party was strong on support, whisky and party vibes and truely were such an asset to day. I know a wedding party is a lot of co-ordination, and some may even say hassle, but when you have a crew like this that helps the day along and hypes you up? Absolutely worth it ✨

These lovebirds are entering their newlywed era starting today - and we cannot bloody wait!

Joanna & Jacob experiencing an extremely chilly clifftop engagement shoot back in June… hopefully those blue skies remain today and the wind is non existent!

• Greg & Elyse • One week married today! Congratulations to these two love birds who got hitched in Canberra last weekend and kicked off our Spring Wedding Season!

It is always an honour to be asked by friends to capture their wedding celebration, and this was no exception. We were so pumped to celebrate their marriage with a camera and cheeky champagne in hand later on in the evening, and what a gorgeous spot they chose for it! Canberra in Spring with the cherry blossoms blooming is bloody magical! ✨

Jay & Lauren had such an amazingly fun wedding day… A beautiful and heartfelt ceremony on a boat in Sydney harbour, followed by an excessively quick couple portrait shoot at Barangaroo, and an amazing Japanese feast at the restaurant Jay is a chef .barangaroo

We are here to fit into your day - however that looks - and if that means you want the focus more on hanging out with friends and family that have travelled internationally to be there, then we’re happy to document your day and grab only a handful of minutes for shots with the focus on just the two of you! They will be gorgeous and relaxed and still perfectly reflect you two and your day, even if we only have a mini session between ceremony + reception to capture them in.

We’re hoping this evenings night sky is going to put on a stunning display of Aurora like this crazy one we adventured out for back in June!

You can take the wedding photographer away from a wedding, but you can’t stop her capturing loved up couples in magic locations! ✨

We’ve been super quiet here, however busy making magic happen just like always, and we were so excited to begin Spring wedding season last Sunday in Canberra!

Those just married vibes from Friday with Jaimie & Chris!

We love capturing the recessional at the conclusion of the ceremony. Couples walking hand in hand into married life together, big smiles of happiness and also relief that the first big moments of the day are finished, and the party can begin.

Confetti is always fun, but the smiles on your faces are always more than enough!✨
