So… Kirsty and Paul at The Tipis, Riley Green. The second time in recent years that I’ve photographed the first wedding of the year at this venue, and what a way to kick off the season!
As soon as I arrived at morning preparations, I knew this was going to be such a fun day. And man, it delivered!
Kirsty and Graham are a family focused couple who are so perfect together, and they can party!
DFC experience provided the entertainment after a ceremony from celebrant Christ Cooper, also of DFC.
I had a pretty hard time finding just a couple of photos to fill a carousel, but more can be seen through the link in my story!

Today... Castles! Rowton Castle to be more specific. I love a good castle wedding,here’s just something about being amonst so much history that feels magical. .castle is a gorgeous example close to Shrewsbury.
Interesting fact for the history geeks (like myself).
The first mention of Rowton Castle is in 1234. Thats Twelth century. Today, its a refurbished, luxury wedding venue that’s well worth checking out.

Next, a favourite of mine...
And, technically not a ‘country venue’. It just really ‘feels’ like it. The palace is one of the earliest Georgian buildings in Chester. It’s pretty central and convenient whilst still being very private and boasting lovely views. Well worth checking out, and impossible not to love.

And it wouldn't be a month of country house wedding venues without mentioning Notley Abbey.
is a medieval building, now an exclusive wedding venue, one of the finest in Buckinghamshire. Floor-to-ceiling glass casts light onto eight hundred years of history, while glittering chandeliers add a dash of modern glamour.
They're licenced for indoor and outdoor ceremonies, too!

Today I'm all about Skipbridge Country Weddings, a gorgeous tipi venue near York with some really unique aspects. It all needs to be seen! A family-run venue, is based on a farm and is home to quite a few animals, too! Keep an eye out for donkeys, ponies, pigs, and even alpacas & llamas.
Here, we have Maisie and Nathan’s wedding from earlier this year.

Next, probably my most-photographed venue in the last few years, West Tower. feels like home for me these days. I always know that myself and my couples will be treated well and have an amazing day.
It's a country house venue not far from Ormskirk in West Lancashire... It mixes convenience with an exclusive and luxury vibe.
I could have used any number of weddings to showcase West Tower, but decided to just post a little mix from some recents.

Today I'm showing some appreciation for Larkspur Lodge
in Cheshire. might just have one of the prettiest ceremony rooms in the land, in my humble opinion. The venue is a 200-year-old (!!!) barn thats been restored into an exclusive wedding venue in the cheshire countryside, not far from Knutsford.
These photos show the (beautiful, but incredibly rainy) wedding day of Emma and Jonny, who were married this Autumn.

Today, it's Iscoyd Park, where you literally couldn't be any closer to the England/Wales Border.
is a private country house venue, priding itself on being home to the same family for centuries. It isn't run like a 'typical' venue in that they don't offer (what I call) cookie-cutter packages. Instead, they'll work with you for the perfect, personal day.

And today, Eaves Hall! As I post this, I'm at so it seems the right day to feature this beautiful and exclusive country house venue.
I could have posted a few different weddings today, but I've chosen some images from Rebecca & Mattew's wedding.
Eaves Hall was built as a private house (What a house!!) before it became a private members club and now an exclusive wedding venue at the heart of the Ribble Valley. It stands amongst 13 Acres of beautiful gardens and grounds and does make an epic location for a wedding.

I’m there! That’s all I need to know. After the (dreaded) pandemic, I shot a few garden party weddings and I always loved them. Scarlett & Dan simply wanted an intimate day with their nearest and dearest, without the faff.
It was a ‘small wedding’ in the grand scheme of things, but that’s just how they wanted it. Enjoy a selection of photos from their day. I will be photographing Scarletts brothers wedding next year and can’t wait to catch up with the gang.

Paul was absolutely fantastic all day at our wedding on 7th October 2023. Myself and my husband LOVED the fact that we didn’t need to spend half the day standing and posing. Looking at the photos you can just relive the day. I love how The photos start off nice and emotional, and by the back end of the day everyone is just going wild on the dancefloor - perfectly capturing the whole day ❤️
We got our photos back in good time, with a lovely slideshow video. I’ve probably watched it over 100 times!
We both found Paul super helpful all day on the day and every interaction we’ve had with him since.

I was recently lucky enough to be trusted with Lee & Adam’s photography.
They held their wedding at The Little Fox in the heart of the picturesque Wirral peninsula, compassionately known locally as ‘The Wirral’.
I spent the day with family and friends of both grooms, and was made to feel part of the gang, possibly one of the best parts of my job. You could describe The Little Fox venue as a hidden gem. It shares grounds with a larger pub, the Red Fox, with a small entrance into a beautiful and charming indoor space. Lee and Adam held their ceremony here as well as their reception.
The venue also provides a safe and enclosed outdoor space to the rear.

Katie and Luke married at Sandhole Oak Barn last year and I was overjoyed to be their wedding photographer.
The day started at the venue before we moved on to the beautiful St James & St Johns Church, just a short drive down the road.

They have a really amazing setup for getting ready in the morning, it’s always nice and relaxed and literally a 20 second walk to the main venue.
MY ULTIMATE AIM IS TO GIVE MY COUPLES A BEAUTIFUL WEDDING DAY STORY.
As a proud and respected documentary wedding photographer, my style is fun and emotional. I don’t like formal poses and don’t do boring photos, stereotypes or cheesy rubbish! I’ll always be about the quirky moments on every wedding day, and I love unapologetic flowing emotions.
A small and emotional wedding day will have a very different vibe to a 150-guest wedding with grandma’s dancing on tables… And so the photographs shouldn’t look the same, either. If you can flick through your wedding album on your tenth anniversary and FEEL what it was like to be at your wedding, I’ve done my job well! You don’t get ‘all those feels’ from standing ten people in a line and telling them to smile.
