Couple of years ago, in two weeks time, DJ Dmitri Matalka and I started something that we never suspected to be so huge, so powerful, so trascendental… 🫶🏼🎶
From a little idea, passing through a simple conversation between two salsa lovers, one Sunday 15th March 2020 CoBeatParty was born.
Next day, the group created with help of our DJ brothers DJ Hong, DJ El Güero del Sabor and The Red Record Shelf - DJ DVO went from 0 to 10.000 members in just 10 days… growing over 20k on the following months 🚀
Today, as a souvenir I want to share with you a private conversation we had Dmitri and I, the previous days as well as some impressions, the day after…
I’m so proud, honoured and happy to have being part of this, not just for the awesome music and new discovered talents around the world, but also for the love found and shared among the CoBeatFamily 🎶❤️🙏🏼

Un evento al aire libre y totalmente gratis, no sólo eso sino que en dicho espacio dispondréis de agua y fruta también totalmente GRATIS!! 😎
Dicho espacio ha sido creado para promover el deporte, la cultura y la socialización en Barcelona. Play Now Barcelona es un espacio lúdico, al aire libre, con zonas de descanso, zonas de deporte y amplia pista de baile para g***r de una gran jornada al lado de la playa 🎶💃🌊
Sólo os tenéis que apuntar al evento a través de la app de Nike o de su página web
No se permite la entrada de comida ni ningún tipo de bebida alcohólica. Sólo de agua o algún tipo de bebida refrescante (Aquarius o Nestea). Os recomendamos traer vuestra bebida en algún recipiente reutilizable (por ejemplo botellas de deporte), puesto que dispondréis de agua gratis para rellenarla 🏄🍹

The entry of food or any type of alcoholic beverage is not allowed. Only water or some kind of refreshing drink (Aquarius or Nestea). We recommend you bring your drink in a reusable container (for example sports bottles), because you will have free water to refill it 🏄🍹

It’s been over 2 years and we're all finally getting together from different corners of the globe in beautiful and warm Barcelona!

Today we're really excited to reveal the details of this unique salsa experience designed for you, from our hearts and in the heart of Barcelona! 🏙️❤️
As you know, music is at the center stage of EVERYTHING we do at CoBeatParty. For this first edition, your DJs will be the founders of the CoBeatParty family! 🤗
We're bringing together Jim, Hong, Ricardo, Dmitri and Xander who are very excited to welcome you and make you dance the whole weekend! 🎉
We'll dance the day and night away at Lanit, a gorgeous fully air-conditioned dance venue. It's less than a 3-minute walk from Sants Estació (the main train station in Barcelona) 💃🔥🕺
For those of you that want to keep the party going until the early morning, we'll have amazing after-parties at Antilla Club, just a 10-minute walk from La Nit ☀️😎
As we want to fully take care of you, you'll be catered by the on-site restaurant, Solric Bar & Restaurante Your tickets will include breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks 😋🥘
Vegan or vegetarian options will be available 🥑🥦
Our venues will have a fully staffed licensed bar to keep the thirst at bay! 🍷🍾🍹🍻🥃🥤

Biography
Inspired by his father, an outstanding drummer and music collector, DJ Mosquetero AKA Xander Cage, had the music running through his veins since he was born in Vigo (Spain) before moving to Marbella, where at the age of 15 he started to grow big interest into Afrolatin & Caribbean Music. It was 3 years later, in the summer of 1998 when he finally debuted as DJ in Puerto Banus, working in different clubs, mixing both Latin grooves and club house.
Since 2001 when he started his international exposure, DJing and collaborating on multiple big events, festivals and congresses across Europe and North America, in UK, Spain, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Poland, Turkey, Canada and USA.
Known by his perennial smile and also by his way to communicate his joy and passion for music to the dance floor, dropping refreshing musical treats with flavor in order to keep the dancers going. He is mainly focused in Son, Mambo, Guaracha, Chachachá, Boogaloo and Cumbia rhythms, lately he’s playing from vinyl and digital format too, depending on the events.
In March 2020, alongside with other fellow DJs he created CoBeatParty, a Facebook group where DJs from all around the world, share LIVE their music collection to the joy of all the +20k followers/viewers across the planet. Also under CoBeatParty he created the first ‘Online Salsa Congress’ collaborating with +24 DJs and artists around the globe.

AFTER YEARS OF SLOW COOKING, THE TERM SALSA SPREAD TO THE WORLD IN THE EARLY 70’S SINCE THAT KID KICKED THE CAN IN THE OPENING SCENE OF THE MOVIE 'OUR LATIN THING' WITH THE “WOW WOW” SYNTHESIZER OF LUIS CRUZ JR AND THE SOUND OF RAY BARRETTO’S 'COCINANDO' RAISING GOOSE BUMPS ON THE FLESH...
IT DOESN’T MATTER IF YOU DANCE SALSA LA, MAMBO, CHA CHA, CUBAN OR CALI STYLE, THE UMBRELLA IS BIG ENOUGH TO COVER THEM ALL AND ALL TOGETHER, WE SHOULD ENJOY AND SHELTER SALSA.
HEREBY IS WRITTEN, I WILL ALWAYS DEFEND MY OATH OF TRANSMITTING THAT PASSION TO THE REST OF THE WORLD, SO WE CAN KEEP THOSE GOOSE BUMPS GENERATION AFTER GENERATION.
